It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host. "On arrival I spoke with the Owner as on previous occasions we have been in a room with no heating in the middle of winter and on another occasion, no hot water for showering when we stayed for two nights, despite complaining about the fact we had no water. On this occasion we did have heating and the shower was warm but not hot. There does seem to be a lack of staff with one member of staff having everything to do front of house i.e taking food orders, serving the bar, checking customers in...

"The room was comfortable with a large, comfy bed, though the lighting was a bit dim as the only overhead light was near the door not over the bed or chairs, so difficult for reading. The restaurant was pleasant and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. However, although the quality of food was good there was a rather limited choice of meals in the evening. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful."
