"Lovely hotel great good in the restaurant. Had to wait ages for our dessert I think they forgot. Nothing around nearest pub is a good 20 minute walk away. Nice gardens to sit in and have a drink at the hotel. Dog friendly too"

"Advertised as an apartment with breakfast included. But in reality is a chalet bedroom and ensuite. Breakfast was 2 mini yogurts in the fridge, a couple of tiny croissants and cereals. Beverages are DIY. Check in is via a member of staff behind the bar in the pub. Unresponsive to phone calls with the number provided prior to the stay where I attempted to know if there was possibility of an earlier check-in but since not being able to get through I had to check-in at the standard 3pm. "A great location with a secure carpark. A comfortable room with good facilities. Found all the staff excellent, friendly and informative. I would definitely stay here again."

"The staff were all wonderful and helpful . It was 36c+ . The building is an old historic property with newly refurbished bedrooms . A fan was in the room to help with the heat . Small but comfortable with a lovely bathroom. My room faced the front and with the heat I needed my window open . The property is by the traffic lights so if you are traffic averse , ask for a rear room . Breakfast is continental but you can pay extra for a cooked breakfast, but not on Sundays . Room for 3 cars to park...

"This venue is very traditional and in an era from 1970s. I kind of like that! Staff were lovely and food was great. Golf course was beautiful although had been suffering with this summer heat. Buggies a must for me. Didnt use the spa facilities. Love the cricket memorabilia!"

"Lovely Hotel at the top of Rye close to the church and the castle. Staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast was excellent with a large choice of items from continental and cooked food avaliiable plus hot drinks or juices.Our room was clean and comfortable perfect for our long weekend stay. I would highly recommend this Hotel."

"Claverton staff, food, room and gardens all excellent. The functions on 2 nights in function room and beer garden below our room was noisy and therefore took edge off stay hence the 4 stars and would not return in the future."
