"Very quirky old building which we loved! Very warm and cosy. Yummy breakfast - such a good price and cosy by the log fire!"

"We had a suite which was miles from reception up and down stairs plus the signage was poor and confusing. Reception had a care less attitude when I overheard another guest explaining their issue. Equally they didn’t care that someone had been smoking in our room and cigarette ash was on the carpet and the window frame. The bed throw was disgusting and not to be explicit I’ll leave it at that. The place feels fit for royalty, and you can definitely see the attention and care to detail the owners have put into this. Room was 10/10 and designed to a very high standard. From when you arrive and walk into the place, you will get an instant feel for how special this stay is. Breakfast 10/10, everything provided and more. Full hot menu alongside plentiful cold options. The owners/hosts were so helpful and friendly and we would recommend this stay to absolutely anyone looking for a peaceful and tranquil stay. Extremely highly rated. "We always stay here when in Stockport and always happy but this time didn’t quite come up to the usual standard that we’re used to . The room felt tired , bathroom door stiff to close and water going off when in the shower , breakfast wasn’t as good as usual, the bacon looked like it was from the day before and not replenished as much usual, a little disappointed this time sorry but we were , L Glynn."

"In my first room the sound-proofing window panes were loose and didn’t fit properly, and they rattled. Not possible to sleep. Changed rooms. In new room, panes also didn’t fit together, but didn’t rattle. My son in room next door had same problem. Bacon at breakfast was as dry as leather."

"Stayed here over the weekend and what a fabulous venue. From the very first moment to the last, it was perfect. The owner was very accomadating and the cleaner was a wonderful lady. The place was spotless, the hot tub was brilliant and the property was beautiful and modern. Will definitely be returning!"
