"Firstly, the room left more to be desired when it came to cleanliness. There were greasy fingerprints all over the big glass window and hair all over the bathroom. I requested an ocean-view room on a high floor. I got a great view of the sunrise and ocean so that was a Plus for me, and the rooms are pretty well updated for AC.
The pool was packed and full of kids which is fine but not the vibe I was going for. Pool does not look as good as it does online and badly needs an update on the foggy dirty glass separating the indoor from the outdoor. It’s heated to a nice cozy temperature.
Lastly this hotel has great options for food and I barely left the hotel for anything. The Casino is great and smells the best out of any casino in AC (smoke smell isn’t as pungent). After a certain time of night they make it really hard to get player cards and inquire about account balances which is odd to me because most casinos get busy at night?
All in all this was by far my top place to stay in AC and since all of the other hotels are completely run down and haven’t been renovated at all in 20 years it easily takes the cake."
