"On the whole the hotel was clean snd well located for walking around the charming little town of Fussen. Breakfast is reputedly great but very expensive so we passed on it. The Alt Stadt (old town) starys literally across the street and has a totally pedestrian walking area with many restaurants etc.
Our main criticism as of the parking. If you arrive with a car they don't have a lot of parking spots behind the hotel....no surprise as Fussen is a busy town with the three local castles. Our complaint was because they told us twice at the check in that their lot was full (it was 5 pm so no surprise there) but that we coupd park instead at a nearby commercial lot and they would reumburse us. The lot turned to be considerably further away than they told us and next morning the person on the front desk refused to reimburse us for the expense and hassle of the offsite parking.....very unprofessional we thought."
"We had a view from our room that was truly exceptional (3rd floor). It was so good we got excited to get back to the room and relax with the view of the mountains, castles atop hills, and lush green forests.
The experience will stick with us for a long time after we've left. Highly recommend!"
"Absolutely superb hotel. Travelled with my 11 year old daughter. Everything was fantastic, super staff, location, pool! Would def recommend & would love to return if visiting here again :)"
"All of the staff were incredibly helpful and we particularly enjoyed talking with Christopher and Fiona in RIWA. The room was clean and comfortable and the spa area was an amazing. We would definitely stay again!"
"The hotel was great I especially liked the beautiful flooring and decor. The bed was very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the hotel restaurant which had a wonderful farmers green salad with the best house dressing ever. The food and the beer was great too so we ate there both nights while we were in town."
