I stayed at Villa Kapuru twice, after my arrival to Sri Lanka and on my last day, since it’s close to the airport. A really nice and calm place, nice stuff, comfy room and pool. I’ve chosen the hotel cause of the rescued cats at the property, and wasn’t disappointed, they are really nice and well behaved and a pleasure to be around. Really close to the beach and Main Street with shops and restaurants.

This is a small hotel very close to the beach, shops and restaurants which are only a 5min walk or tuk tuk away. Rooms and facilities are good with air conditioning. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast starts the day and a pool to chill out. We stayed 1 night as it is close to the airport.

This property rescued 14 cats and 2 dogs and they all stay by the pool, which means you will be in good company. We liked everything about Villa Kapuru- it is nice, small and clean place, located 10 mins on foot from the beach and the restaurants! I would book again..

Great stay at Negombo
Nice clean pool! Hard bed. AC worked well. The staff (one person) didn't say much, too little information, not good at English. OK breakfast and you get pool towels and water for free. Many places to relax and close to center (dark walk at night though). They have a lot of cats and dogs around the pool.

A nice stay!
The hotel is in a good location to nearby cafe/restaurants, and the airport. The rooms are basic, but perfectly fine for a few days. The owner is really friendly and also owns a restaurant nearby (which we got 10% off food bill). Nice pool with communal areas.

The staff went out of their way to help with assist with any problems. Especially helpful was a blanket to cope with an a/c at nights.

If you're looking to recreate your high-end Western-standard hotel experience, this is not the place. If you want a pleasant, quiet place to stay where everything works, this is for you. No surprises here except a great breakfast. I suggest you get a room facing the pool and the beautiful garden. The beach and many nice bars and restaurants are within an easy walk. This is a great place to stay to make sure you catch your flight from Bandaranaike Airport.

Great staff and comfortable place!
Highly recommend Hotel Villa Kapuru! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. This is a terrific place to stay when coming or going from Colombo airport, or as a Negombo area destination hotel.

Søde værter. Kontaktede mig optil check ind og da vi kom midt om natten, stod de pænt op og var klar til at modtage os kl: 04.00. Hyggeligt lille sted, pool til fri afbenyttelse og dejlig morgenmad. Der er dog mange katte og hunde de har reddet fra gaden, som render rundt alle steder på hotellet inklusiv vores teresse. Så det skal man lige være ops på, hvis ikke man er så begejstret for dyr.

A cat lovers paradise!
I had a really wonderful stay here; great facilities, pool, staff, location and breakfast. It is the perfect place to relax and get over the jet lag when first arriving in Sri Lanka. What made my stay extra special however was all the cats; they are super friendly and cuddly, you can tell that the owners really care for the animals. And the hotel was completely without the odors that one normally might expect when there are many animals around! Best place I stayed at during my first week in Sri Lanka, would book it again in a heartbeat!

Great hotel in the Negombo area! In walking distance of beach and the main street with plenty of dining options is just up the road about two blocks. The train station is about 4 blocks away. Fast internet, kettle, combination safe, hot water with good pressure, fridge, patio area, and nice desk make the room very suitable. I had a canal view and saw a monitor lizard on two seperate occasions. Staff is super nice and you will certainly enjoy your stay there. The pool is well maintained and cleaned daily and the breakfast is super yummy with honey covered yogurt, plenty of fruit, and eggs made to order served thick slices of locally baked bread. Give it a go!

Great stay in Villa Kapuru
Great stay in Villa Kapuru. People are very nice and they made our stay very nice and peaceful. They help street animals, cats and dogs (take care of them and feed them) and we really appreciate to spend time with these special customers. The room was clean and confortable and we really enjoy the beautiful pool! Very close to the beach, restaurants, bars and shops. We definitely recommend this place for your stay in Negombo.

Tolle Unterkunft mit Pool zum Ankommen (bestimmt auch zum Ausklang vor Abreise ;) ). Bequemes Bett und sehr großes Frühstück. Fußläufig alles erreichbar (Strand, Restaurants und Supermarkt). Unbedingt eine Bootstour durch den Kanal zur Lagune mit Mr. Lakshman buchen. Da die Unterkunft direkt am Kanal liegt, kann man direkt von dort starten.

Amazing stay here! 2 minutes walk to the beach, massive rooms, amazing breakfast and best of all the staff! The Sri Lankan manager of the hotel is amazing! He couldnt of done more to make me well welcome and so everything possible he could to help me book taxis, recommend activities, just a great guy. I will come back to this lovely hotel when I’m back in Negombo.

Very well run boutique hotel. Easy walk to beach and many restaurants. Well kept pool and good made to order breakfast. Would definitely stay again at either the beginning or end of trip.

Loved this place! My friend and I stayed here for 8 days and it was amazing! The staff was awesome very welcoming and helpful. The property feels like a little piece of paradise in Negombo. The owners also saved and rescued cats and dogs that are very friendly and well behaved so animal lovers will get to enjoy this place as well! I HIGHLY recommend this place! Book book book!

Fantastic stay
Really great place to stay. A good spot and very relaxing surroundings. Great staff team always available to help with all your needs. We arrived into the airport at 2/3am but it was no problem to check into the property at that time. There was also the most amazing display of fruit bats returning to a tree just near the guesthouse in the evening. Highly recommend :-).
