Good, beautiful historic building.
But a bit hold style design inside.
Recently renovated my room was very nice. Comfy bed, nice furniture and the bath products had me feeling like I was in a spa! Fantatic location near restaurants, museums, across from #2 train and several buses nearby make exploration am ease. Will go back next time I'm in town..
Great location. Pain for parking BUT Emily on reception was absolutely SUPERB. Super helpful, super efficient. Quite brilliant. Should be in top top class hospitality, wasted in this nice, but small time hotel!
Nantes a wonderful city with such tasty food. La Perouse is centrally located near so many good restaurants and right across from a tram stop. The rooms are small but adequate, and breakfast was very good.

Good location. Room was relatively clean. Staff were polite an helpful. Air conditioning barely worked and the afternoon sun made the room exceedingly hot.

Staff was great. Location was good. Everything is just a little old and worn at this point, which I don't have a problem. However, I hated the bathroom, which was entirely small yellow tile. "I've been in gym locker rooms like this," my husband commented when we arrived. Aesthetics aside, the bathroom did not seem clean, as the grout either had stains or active dirty spots. This was true on the shower walls, in multiple places, and not just along floor edges. If I thought it was an issue with housekeeping, I would have complained, but it's clearly an ongoing issue that has built up. If they have bathrooms in better condition, I assume we'd have been put there; it felt like very few people in the hotel.
This was also an unusual hotel in that we had a physical key for our room, and had to use it to lock the door both from the inside and from the outside. I don't find this useful in an emergency, to have to unlock a room with a physical key to get out. We also had to buzz to get into the hotel, and they requested that we turn in the key at reception when we went out. As a bonus, the front was always staffed, and they did pay attention when we went to the hotel. This was also the only of 6 hotels we used in France where they requested that we show them our passports; I wonder why they did that.
This hotel is no longer a 4 star hotel. I don't mind that everything seemed a little threadbare, but I wouldn't stay here again unless they renovate the bathrooms.
A sad hotel. Worn. Very humid. Cold floor. And I hate having to climb into a tub to get a shower. Dangerous for old legs..

The facility was clean but the welcome by the staff was only so-so. We had asked about some sights in town and were given only vague locations - like we should know the area. We did not feel we were welcomed as guests of the hotel and the city.
And then the bathroom: the sink is absolutely the worst possible design. It does not empty because is does not have a sloping design from the sides so everything sits in the sink visible and is disgusting. In addition, it did not drain well down the drain. Asked for someone to come by to fix it and no one showed up.
Finally, no parking - even to register. Parking structure recommended was 3 blocks away and we had to pay for.
