"Clean and comfortable rooms with very friendly and helpful staff. Good value for a couple nights while visiting the Bryson City/Cherokee area. Basic breakfast.
I did not find it walkable into town given the hot weather in August though."
"A beautiful property to walk about and find a quiet corner for a conversation, enjoy a cup of coffee, or experience the natural ambiance of the mountains."
"The property is beautiful and promotes a relaxing and restful atmosphere. Innkeepers John and Marie were very cordial and helpful throughout our 4-night stay. They have the gift of hospitality, and it shows. Breakfasts were delicious and offered a variety of options. If you're planning a trip to Bryson City, book a room at McKinley Edwards Inn. You'll be glad you did! We are!"
"We had an awesome stay at this quaint little motel that sends you back in time. The bed slept great and the room was clean. We had a huge window that looked out over the river. There is a nice covered pavilion with gliders and picnic tables, fire ring and grills right by the river for your enjoyment. Our last night there we were in the pavilion enjoying the weather and the nature sounds, when an elk walked out of the river and right past us. It was awesome. Would highly recommend. Staff is...
"The owners are fantastic!! Smiles and hospitable in every way. Perfect size property and location. Room smells awesome. Water is hot and water pressure is fantastic! A true surprise for its location and last minute booking. "
"Great little old school motel that has been well-kept. Room was super clean, owner is very kind and helpful, check-in was easy, and coffee was available in the lobby at 7am. We especially enjoyed the pool after a long day of travel. Great value, would definitely stay here again."
"We stayed here while we were visiting the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We arrived in the evening, after check-in time, so they left an envelope at the door with all the information to access our room. Everything was perfect and breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday mornings was amazing. We loved it."
"Awesome secluded place to stay. Very cozy and clean. I am very glad we brought our “camping bin” however that has a lot of supplies, like utensils, paper plates, pan, spatula etc. We cooked all our meals on the grill. The kitchenette is nice but very small. The only sink is in the bathroom.
Great access to the Tail of the Dragon (25 min drive) which was the reason for our trip.
If you bring a trailer DO NOT try and take it to your cabin. Park outside the gate"
"We loved that the property was close to town but very quiet. There’s a wonderful view of the mountains from the second floor wrap around porch. It’s a quaint establishment with some history. We enjoyed two outstanding breakfasts. Paul is a gracious, friendly and knowledgeable host. "
"I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT.
We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable.
The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. Communication with the hosts was excellent. They provided so much helpful information on local places to visit for after our hike.
The communal glamping bathroom was the...
"Experiencing the sound of an afternoon rain shower on the roof of the summer house was beyond description. Saw twenty or more bird varieties right outside the lodge. Views are magnificent."
