"We loved our stay at Garto, it was by far our favourite resort on our travels. The staff and owner are very helpful and friendly. The villas are large with a separate kitchen, very comfortable beds/seating area, large terrace and the most amazing, privacy screened, outdoor waterfall shower. They are also spotlessly clean with all amenities. The resort makes you feel like you are in nature with lots of greenery and a pool overlooking the sea. Breakfast was huge and cooked to order. "Tucked away in a jungle setting but only one minute off the main island ring road this is a charming economy bungalow hotel in need of some maintenance and run by super staff. Good value. "

"When we arrived to the island, we took a taxi to the GPS location according to Hotels.com map. The pin was innaccurate, and 6 of us were stranded on another part of the island, 45 minutes away. Only due to a nice local Thai man, did we get a new taxi and find the villa. The villa in the photo shows a beach - we had no beach.
