"We didnt see any shops, my only reason for one low score, is that we were in room 7 on Friday 20th March. When we went to the room the smell of Fresh paint was very strong. The young lady on reception moved us to another room. Which was perfect. "

"The hotel is lovely and well situated. We had a suite which can accommodate a family of 5. The pool was nice and clean (but water was a little on the cooler side). There were floats and noodles the kids could use as aids. The gym and sauna are nice but we didn’t get to use them. The room service menu is good and well ranging. Not many staff on reception at check out."

"we wanted somewhere for an overnight stay after flying back from Greece to Manchester before driving back to the north east. I'll start with the pros. beds were clean and very comfy. tea/facilities in the room were welcome. staff lovely. good and safe parking. very quiet hotel. breakfast was delicious and just what we needed before a 2 hour plus journey. 5 minutes walk to wetherspoons where we went for tea and couple of drinks. cons. yes it was a little dirty in places ie main passageways...

"Good sized room, very centrally located next to shops, restaurants, and transport. The hotel is a little dated but it was very clean. The staff were all lovely and really make you feel welcomed."

"We first stayed in Nov 24. This time we stayed Apr 26. Previously we were in the Annex, but this time we were in the main building. The room was large and nicely decorated. I booked two rooms as our adult daughter came too. Both rooms were cold even though the heating was on, but its an old building, so probably difficult to heat. "The room was pretty cold on arrival, but soon worked out how to get the heating on.Staff were very helpful and managed to sort out my booking, that Expedia failed to notify the hotel, so they were not expecting me.The room was aa bit outdated,and not very soundproof, the 7 lane bypass was very noisy during the night,even with the window closed."
