The rooms are excellent. They are beautifully designed! Would have liked to stay one more day just to enjoy the room! They have all the needed amenities, including a steam iron, all stored meticulously. Sound proofed. Very tastefully designed, luxurious room. Great value for money. There is a tram running outside.

A clean, modernist hotel on easy transit routes through Munich. All warm wood, glass, mirrors, and steel, The Marriott eschews paintings or other artwork for sleek architectural interiors and puzzle box cabinetry, turning rooms into a masterful array of spaces and voids that feel disciplined, elegant, and very German. The bedrooms are very comfortable, dark and quiet; storage is generous and uncluttered; bathrooms are spacious, elegant, and well organized. 9.5/10 because the shower drain in our room wasn't fast enough to remove the **massive** volume of water the rain shower delivered, which caused some leakage at the glass door. The hotel's Italian concept restaurant, Assoluto Vineria, is far better than it needs to be to sate the international appetites of conventioneers and tourists. Breakfasts are actually worth the money one pays for them, and their dinners, either in the restaurant or in-room, proved to be delivered with the expertise, panache, and flavors you'd expect at a beloved independent. 10+/10. The hotel and restaurant staffs were uniformly helpful and unflappable, and jumped in to help each other when things got busy; a trait that's increasingly rare among teams anywhere. Bravo. 10/10. Overall, a great find amid the many faceless chain hotels in this bustling, cosmopolitan city.

Classic Marriott property with very new, clean, modern facility; very international, helpful and personable staff. Location requires walking and public transport or taxi to central downtown tourist attractions. Excellent location for S-bahn connection to the airport. The hotel is new and the staff are very helpful in making our stay plesant and comfortable. One of our meals at the restaurant did not go our way (no fault of the hotel) and th restaurant manager personally apologised and made sure a replacement meal was provided, on the house. Excellent facilities and service. I would stay there again!

Great new hotel, but a little far out of town

Very modern and comfortable, brand new hotel. Great bar and restaurant (albeit, I would have preferred a German restaurant, rather than Italian). Slight negatives were that check-in was very slow and that I was charged €9 for 2 coffees, because I missed breakfast by 4 minutes. Also, the location isn't great if you like walking to places.

Mixed feelings about this hotel

Reception was very kind and helpfull but the reception room was very small and gave a bit of a “is this a Marriott” vibe. Room was nice but we had noise from people doing contruction in other rooms at the hote which was a bit annoying. Also seems weird to me not to build in a pool in a brand new big hotel.

Everything was great, besides the poor AC… Now it was a real hot month in all of Germany, but that’s why we stayed here (so we’d have air conditioning). The thermostat was set on 19 degrees Celsius but it was more like 25 C, or 78-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Hot. Stifling. Just laid there and sweat.
