"Olive was a wonderful and welcoming host--she helped with parking, which can be tricky. She also provided suggestions for restaurants which were close by, on the water, and very good. Highly recommend a visit to the Mariners Guest House. Thank you Olive!"

"The location is ideal for walking to the shopping centre or the Barbican. Car park on site was very useful. Hotel is very clean and rooms were serviced every day. Room was a gkkd size and bed very comfy. Staff were friendly but not very informative. Would definitely stay at Moxy again."

"We had such a lovely one night stay, the hosts were so helpful and thoughtful, especially as we were arriving late on a Saturday evening. We were made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely, absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone for any length of stay. Lovely breakfast too"

"Room was ready early and was spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to help us including finding a bowl for us to use as an ice bucket! Towels were huge and luxurious. Perfect night away with enough space and comfort to relax. Brilliant location walking distance from the hoe and theatre. "

"We received a vety friendly welcome and help to take our luggage upstairs. The room was clean and spacious. The ensuite looked in pristine condition and the shoeer was easy to usecand vety good. Breakfast had a number of cooked choices as well as the continental self service. Iverall the staff at the Drake made us very welcome and very comfortable. The jotel is well positioned for the Hoe, Barbican and Railway Station."

"Very pleasant stay and great location! Special shout out to Olivia who did a tremendous job at breakfast, the dining room was packed with guests and it overflowed into the lounge bar too! They were working with skeleton staff and everyone came down to eat at the same time, however, she did a fantastic job … well done Olivia!"

"We stayed in a premium sea view room which had plenty of room for 2 adults, 1 child (who was very pleased to have a whole sofa bed to herself!) and a baby. Baby cot was set up as requested on our arrival. Hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool was really nice and good temperature. We enjoyed a few free bits and pieces from the lounge bar - including milk for baby bottle (very handy). Location was perfect - right next to the hoe, with a Tesco express shop just round the corner. "Central and convenient to CBD"

"Didn't like repeated auto emails asking for self check in and credit card details for incidentals. Didn't like silly health and safety window locks that didn't allow airflow into room. Fans are not at all adequate on hot days. I wonder where health and safety stands if one faints due to the heat on hot days or the risk or access if there is a fire. I did like that reception staff was very helpful to find me another room on the cooler side of the building. TVs need upgrading to Smart TVs. "
