"Good location and around 20 minute walk into downtown Reykjavik where all the restaurants and shops are.
Property was clean and welcoming, and check in was smooth. City tax payable at reception.
Did not book for any of the meals so cannot comment.
The gym was small but served a purpose albeit some of the machines were in non working order. No sauna.
The room was nice and clean but some internal remedial work in corridor created a bit of noise and drilling which we should have been made aware of."
"Lovely property making it a very comfortable one stop shop. The beautiful food court area is so unique and has something for everyone with comfy little nooks to sit or long dining tables to meet new friends! The rooms are super clean with comfortable beds. The rooftop terrace offers excellent Aurora viewing! The included breakfast was the best we had during our Iceland travels! This cozy hotel was one of the highlights of our trip for our group and we all highly recommend experiencing this little gem!"
"This hotel was perfect. Clean, helpful and courteous staff. Some people will find the rooms small but they were adequate for our 10 day stay. Great location for public transport and walking distance to the center of Reykjavik. Would definitely stay here again."
"Walking distance to very good restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Parking available at the back on a first come serve bases. Happy marriage pastry bars were on the breakfast buffet—-sooo good! All the employees were so helpful and polite. Hope to come back again one day."
"Lovely hotel. We arrived on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready a couple of hours before check-in, which was greatly appreciated after traveling.
We stayed in Room 808 (an executive room,) which was clean, comfortable, and appeared to have been refreshed recently. One unique feature was the shared balcony on the 8th floor, where we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights one evening. Access is through a door outside the guest rooms rather than directly from the room itself, which we actually preferred. Some rooms do have direct balcony access, so if you use the shared space, just be mindful of noise and avoid standing directly in front of other guests' doors.
The breakfast was quite good. There was a nice selection of coffee and tea, eggs, bacon, sausage, skyr, fresh fruit, assorted breads, and pastries, which gave us plenty of options before heading out for the day.
The only issue we encountered was that a couple of days into our stay I noticed I had been charged the full cost of the room on my credit card even though I had prepaid through Hotels.com. When I mentioned it at the front desk, the staff quickly looked into it and processed a refund right away.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, the staff was helpful, the breakfast was good, and the early check-in was a wonderful surprise. I'd happily stay here again and would recommend it to others visiting Iceland."
"Very quiet area of town outside Reykjavik. Hotel was clean and had plenty of amenities. Only scary part was someone walking into our hotel room at 2am because the door wasn’t closed properly. Didn’t learn till after that you have to lift door for it to properly lock. Overall, was a nice stay"
