"Great check in and really cute cabins, perfect for our stay in east Iceland. Good layout and space. Had some trouble with the shower drain not draining. Overall a good experience. "

"Heima Holiday Homes are located just a short drive from town, and offers supreme serenity and great Mountain View. Self-checkin was hassle free. The home was fully furnished and equipped. Floor was heated, including bathroom floor. We especially enjoyed the company of the property’s two friend dogs who came by my cabin and played ball with us (the dog brought its own ball to ask us to play, so cute!) The only one thing I would ask for is a little shelf in the shower area for us to place our own...

"The place is exactly like the pictures, and everything is very nice. It would be even better if the balcony had a cover, as the wind can be quite strong sometimes."

"Absolutely the best place I’ve ever stayed. The staff went above and beyond on everything — check in, dinner (amazing), breakfast (huge variety all fresh), suggestions and tips for our travel, information about Iceland history, northern lights wake up call, to name a few. The cottage was cozy, clean and exquisite. Truly a one of a kind experience. Highly recommend. "

"I appreciate they were renovating the property common areas. We had a room that appeared to already have been renovated, but the important design finishing details such as having necessary wall cables tucked away and ample lighting in the bathroom were overlooked. A baseboard was installed over a cable with the cable loop not flush against the wall. The bathroom was dark with no light to be able to apply makeup or style hair. The sink was chipped with minimal counter space for toiletries and the floor didn’t appear to have been cleaned before our arrival. The body wash/shampoo combo mounted in the shower was empty. Thankfully we stayed one night before flying out early the next morning. We knew it was conveniently located next to the airport…"
"The location is excellent!
It’s close walking distance to many tourist sites and museums in the city and close to the Maritime Museum bus stop.
We loved the breakfast provided by the hotel and the Hygge coffee shop and bakery there.
The spa was closed during our stay which wasn't great and we weren’t refunded the extra money we had paid for spa access. They did include one day of free hotel breakfast and a free coffee for the two of us though which was very kind.
The staff were all very lovely and helpful. There was even a cat hanging around the front lobby area for most of our stay"
"Easiest and fastest checkin. No checking passports and id and no credit card. They obviously trust their customer. Good location with cool Food Hall across the street. Nice cold plunge, steam room, hot tub area. Smaller room by North American standards but comfortable beds. Parking is incredibly easy for Iceland. Just a good place. Stay here"
"The absolute perfect place to stay on my first solo trip and first time in Iceland! The location was beyond convenient. The hubs were cozy and modern. USB and USB-C ports on either side of the bed, mood lighting, Bluetooth speakers. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. Staff was quick to answer any questions i had. 100000/10 recommend."
"Fosshótel Baron was located at the perfect spot in Reykjavik where multiple establishments were at a walking distance. The hotel also has a parking lot in front of the entrance where guests can park (for a fee) and hotel guests get a small discount. Will stay here again!"
"This was not the best stay but it was self inflicted by not selecting a room with a Mountain View. The street lights are bright all night. The other factor was that the room is small. My wife had a cold so it made it even more challenging. Food was good. Cocktails were very good. Everything was x2 as much as you would think it should be so 27 dollars for a cocktail…"
"Great location. Lobby is always busy due to restaurant and bakery on site, which can be cumbersome for guests trying to get to the check-in desk. This property charges in Euros, which is unusual. Parking garage is TINY but convenient, especially if you have an electric car and need to charge. It’s very cheap, you just need to ask the front desk to use the charger. "
