"Attitude was a real deal breaker for us. After arriving to our room we discovered the lights were out for 3/4 of the room - particularly troublesome for the bathroom. Went to front desk and waited about 20 min for someone to come and check out what we assumed to be a fuse issue. Another 20 min and problem is not resolved. Go to the desk to get an update and Miss Attitude is very sassy despite the patience and respect we afforded her. We had been on the beach all day and wanted to shower and head...

"This place is awesome! We stayed for 4 nights and we could have stayed forever. The property and rooms are fantastic. My wife and I walked the gardens for hours every day. It's such a peaceful break. The rooms have excellent AC, beautiful views, and everything was so clean. I don't normally write reviews but the Inn at Middleton Place deserves it. You can clearly see the effort they put in to every aspect of the stay. The fact that you get free passes to the gardens is such a good deal...

"Staff was just okay. No one was overly friendly but not rude either. The bedding was clean and pillows comfortable. Pools clean and outdoors kept nice. I will say that the bathroom could use fresh grout in the showers and some updating. And fresh white paint would go a long way. I’ve definitely stayed in nicer places for less money but the location and amenities were good."

"Right on the water. Good places to eat within walking distance. Pleasant staff! Bring your own beach chairs if you can so you don't have to rent them. Do the same with alcohol so you can reduce that budget as well! Clean, great place to relax!!!"

"The hotel itself had a great aesthetic, a beautiful pool area, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the actual room experience was very disappointing. The room was extremely small for my husband, daughter, and myself. The space felt very cramped, including the bathroom, and it made the stay uncomfortable overall. In addition, the TV in the room was broken and would not shut off unless it was unplugged. When I went behind the TV to unplug it, I discovered piles of dust built...

"OMGosh!!! What a great surprise this place was. Right in the center of the action and a short drive to Patriots Point, the Old Village in Mount Pleasant and close enough for an affordable Uber to Charleston. So many restaurants were within walking distance and we could hear all the live music while we were swimming in the pool. This was a great place for our family (kids 10 and 13) because the area was full of college kids and young adults (who were all very respectful) but the hotel itself...

"The location of this property was the best … 1 block from water. Very artsy and unique setting! Walkable all over downtown . Many shops and restaurants very close! We would definitely stay here again!!"

"I asked for a handicap accessible room & was told they didn’t have any. There weren’t any grab bars around the tub & nothing on the tub floor to keep you from falling. I was very disappointed & nervous that I would fall or my traveling companion which is 85 years old. She opted to just wipe off than take a chance with falling!"
