"This is a really fabulous small hotel. The mostly young staff are wonderful and have really good customer service skills. The room we had was large and warm and really nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable with sufficient pillows and some nice cushions.It was apparent that thought had been put in to all aspects of our stay. There were lovely little touches in the room - biscuits, fresh coffee and a cafetière, an extra blanket, and even recycling facilities in the room itself. We had a vegan...

"The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. "I had a lovely stay at the Exeter Inn! Michelle and Martin gave me the warmest welcome, and the whole place felt instantly inviting. I met up with friends from Bampton for dinner, and the Festive Christmas menu was excellent — beautifully cooked and full of flavour. I stayed in the Brook bedroom, which was immaculate and thoughtfully supplied with plenty of toiletries. A genuinely delightful visit and I’d happily return. Thank you !"

"The hotel was wonderful. It is clear that the 17th-century historic building is being maintained with great care and affection. The room was spotlessly clean, and I was able to spend a very comfortable time. The quality of the meals served at the restaurant was also extremely high, and I was very satisfied. I couldn't visit the adjacent Somerset Museum as it was closed, but I look forward to seeing it on my next visit."
