Fantastic host

Suzi and I had a lovely stay in Michel’s b&b. Comfortable room and an excellent continental breakfast. Michel was a fantastic host and gave us some great suggestions for where to go during our short stay in Montpellier. Would highly recommend!

Perfect staff warming welcome and so much help. Perfect place for go to the station and town. Classic room is also fascinating. Breakfast is especially perfect for me. I really enjoyed kinds of bread which is just baked. If you want some fruit,vegetables, or hot dish,you need to prepare by yourself,but it was ideal for me. About free Wi-Fi ,the speed is not so fast but enough.

I have been working in Montpellier for six months and needed a place for three nights after my longer term lease expired. Le Clos Chez Michel was perfect. The location is a 3-4 minute walk to the train station (Saint-Roch), a 5-6 minute walk to at least two different tram stops (Saint-Roch and Du Guesclin), and a 7-8 minute walk to the main downtown plaza (Comédie). The owner, Michel, lives upstairs and has obviously taken great care to ensure that the establishment is well maintained, both inside and out. My in-room bathroom had been recently remodeled, the bed was comfortable, the room was dark at night and quiet, the in-room air conditioner worked well and gave me control over the temperature setting, the breakfast was excellent, guests have access to a well equipped and also up-to-date kitchen, and there's a nice enclosed outdoor garden with seating as well. Michel is a delightful host who not only cheerfully allowed both me and my luggage to hang around until mid-afternoon because I had a late-day flight but who also called a taxi for me and rolled my big suitcase to the cab. In short, it's a great place, far preferable in my view to the hotels I considered at comparable and even higher price points. I look forward to a return visit in the future. Thanks!

Ideal B&B. Friendly and very helpful host Michel. Great French classic breakfast. Great location near the train station. Few minutes walk from Place de la Comedie. Would definitely go back if i had the opportunity

The owner is a fantastic fellow who will tell you all about Montpellier and give recommendations. He keeps a nice B&B - three rooms - in his family home of a few generations and lays out a nice spread for breakfast in the mornings with homemade jam. The only downside is a shared bathroom, but if that doesn’t bother you, it’s a great location for getting around Montpellier.

Fabulous Host

Our host Michel was fabulous! He was very informative… Giving us all kinds of information about Montpelier. He had suggestions on how to get to the beach, good recommendations for restaurants and our favorite part was talking with him over breakfast. He had a lovely garden and made orange marmalade from his own oranges and served it with our lovely breakfast. It was wonderful! We stayed for four days and would have loved to have stayed longer. There’s no question that we would stay here again when in Montpellier.

This is a great property very close to the train station and all of the major sights. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. Breakfast has a good selection of breads and fruits and the fridge in the kitchen has a selection of yoghurts and water. There are three rooms and the one we had had a shared bathroom. I think that some of the other rooms had their own toilet but our room did not. This was not an issue during our stay, just something to be aware of. The host is extremely friendly and helpful and likes to share the important features of Monpellier.

Superb holiday. So central. Lots of possibilities to suit all tastes, the old town, the new architecture, the walks along the river, the short bus ride to the freshwater lakes and the beaches and so many bars and restaurants where you can absorb french culture ( and wine). But the best feature by far is Michel, the owner. A font of information. Nothing is ever too much and he clearly loves his job and particularly meeting people from all parts of the world. A real gem. My wife and I have stayed at many B&B's during the past several years, and have never encountered a host as agreeable, professional, pleasant, helpful, and interesting a host as Michel. He is a joy and really what makes Le Clos Chez Michel special. Every day he helped us with planning and developing routes for our adventures. Almost every evening we would share these adventures with him. Additionally the property is positioned really in a perfect spot, 2 blocks to the train station, perhaps a ten minute walk to the Place de La Comedie. We had originally rented a car (which Michel helped me park in his garage), but ditched it after 3 days since it was just more fun to either walk or take a train from the station. Michel, thanks for everything!

Fantastisk vært og god beliggenhed

Vi blev fantastisk godt modtaget og følte os velkomne. Stedet ligger tæt på stationen i et roligt kvarter. Alt var perfekt, bortset fra at man bliver vækket, når gæsterne fra værelset ved siden af benytter toilet og bad på gangen. Vi havde eget badeværelse. Tak for et godt ophold.

Tolle private Atmosphäre

Drei Zimmer in einem typischen französischen Stadthaus. Man teilt sich Bad und Toilette. Alles sehr sauber. Der Besitzer ist ausgesprochen nett und serviert ein typisches französisches Frühstück, die Marmelade hat er selbst gemacht. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel ohne wenn und aber.

駅のエスカレーターで裏口道路におりてから1分の距離で、静かで治安も良さそう。部屋はキレイで広く、何よりbreakfastのパンと飲み物がおいしい。ユーレイルパスで駅をベースに1-2時間の距離の都市を訪れる拠点として便利。寝室にテレビがなく、寝室窓から明かりが入らないのが残念ですが。
