It was close to where I was working at. It was quiet, I was able to get a good night's sleep without any drama, The price was a little more than I usually like to pay but that area is booming and every other hotel was about $20 more a night.

Overpriced for the quality of the facilities. Reminiscent of 1970s. Musty smell in lobby and room. Not Pine View's fault, but next door female patrons sat outside drunk and foul-mouthed until 3:00 a.m. Past experience says it's no use suggesting drunk women tone it down. Tells you all you need to know of the place.

First off, The room was $140/night. I'm sorry, but for that price I was expecting more than what was there. The room is just a basic room that is out dated and done in the cheapest way possible. Secondly, there are a couple dilapidated buildings that were obviously part of the plan many years ago but are no longer used...or cared for. I would not stay here again, not even for half the price.

Well, it was not good. In fact, downright terrible. For starters, Pine View Resort is way outdated of a motel to be charging $150 a night. It should be more like 50 dollars a night. Secondly, how can you call a motel a resort when it has the following: broken and/or worn out benches, weeds growing everywhere, an abandon and run down building on the corner of the property, no workable ice machine by the Pine View Lodge Building, and barely a continental breakfast with only milk, coffee, and breakfast rolls or muffins. Thats more Iike breakfast on the go. We had to have the toilet in our room unclogged because it wasn't flushing properly. My husband Mark was very bothered by the negligent condition this motel has become, and was about ready to call both The Indiana State Board of Health as well as The Better Business Bureau in regards to overpricing of rooms based on condition of buildings. We have both decided against staying at this place again and believe it either needs to be condemned or under better management that's willing to start making improvements.

Property is beat up in general. Needs maintenance attention. Inside room was dingy, towels and sheets were old and worn out, fridge did not work, clock did not work, wood work chipped and in need of paint. On top of all that, the room charge was $140 which was outrageous. $60 would have been more palatable.

Room smelled terrible. Musty moldy smell. Had to go buy air freshener to remain in the room. Used disinfectant also. Property was not maintained at all.

I thought I was getting a nice still in a lodge I was put in the room in the back 40 felt something crawling on a Friday night didn’t think much of it was tired came back from indiana beach on Saturday and we noticed blood on the sheets and we flipped mattresses and found about 45 bedbugs on each bed. We went to the front office. She told me to call back on Monday and I may get my refund for Friday Saturday night. She put back on my credit card even though I paid cash for my rooms. wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

Desk staff were not very friendly. Breakfast was very limited and not many. Hot tub was not working and looked dirty. Room was decent. Not as nice and inviting as I remember. Pool area was nice

Ouch too pricey for low quality
Did not recognize the request for connecting rooms. Breakfast was a bust coffee very weak, toast only toasted one side of bread. Rooms were cheesy.

Room was clean, we had what we needed. The AC unit was either cold or off - unless the controls were off. Room had a door to adjoining room - provided easy listening to noisy family next door. Door to outside not much better. Coffee ok - doughnuts not at all inviting. Pool area looked nice - didn't go. overall fine, if you're not looking for anything really nice

The place was a dive and over priced . The breakfast was a joke they had went and bought 1 small pack of mini donuts and mini muffins. Do not stay here and don’t waste your time

After we checked in, we were told that our room was actually in a different building adjacent to the property. This building and room looked nothing like the pictures we saw when booking online. The room was filthy and everything was falling apart. The playground area was all broken and highly dangerous to which I was afraid my small children were going to injure themselves. The picnic benches were all broken and there were missing backs to chairs. The dining room had a hot tub inside of it that was empty but for some green moldy water that was left after someone drained it. The hot tub was in ground with no safety guards around it and no top and if you wanted one of the mini muffins they offered as their breakfast, you'd have to sit next to the green water. I was hoping no one was going to accidentally fall in. The only saving grace of this property was the patio on the outside of the room but you nearly had to throw your arm out of the socket to open the sliding glass door to get out to the cement slab with a few broken chairs outside of it. This place is dangerous.

I requested a refund immediately upon looking at the rooms. They were filthy and upon asking for a refund letting them know the rooms were disgusting there was no more conversation about the rooms. I’m sure this happens to them on a regular basis.

STAY AWAY!
An over priced dump! Don't know where to start, 1000 cigarette butts outside our door, air conditioning didn't work, bugs, a filthy, empty hot tub in the breakfast area, 90 degrees outside and the pool was freezing, shrubs and flowers around the pool all dead. Just terrible!

the property is right down the street from Lake Shafer and Indiana Beach. The rooms were fine. The breakfast was very limited though.

This is not a resort, this is a motel. You end up in a building around the back in a sketchy looking area. My room has a whole in the ceiling, mildew on the shower curtain that stunk horribly so I couldn’t even shower. The comforter has holes in it, filthy lamp shade, the TV remote didn’t work properly and the chair in the room was filthy. DO NOT STAY HERE! I have pictures that I am going to post.

horrible place stay away!
stay away the pics were very decieving. the rooms we were in were located in another part of the property the toilet made a loud squealing when flushed what appeared to be blood on the lamp shade the playground has seen better days and i could barely understand what anyone at the service desk was even saying as i dont speak the language they did

Don’t stay here unless you have to. Overpriced dump. Mold on the ceilings in the bathroom. Said they provided breakfast. Provided stale cereal and donuts. Rooms located a block from the office. One of the worst stays ever. Yuck!!!

STAY AWAY - Bait and Switch
WARNING. Pictures and bookings are misleading. You will most likely not be placed in the cute rooms show on this site and others. Instead you will be placed in the long very old and DANGEROUS and NOT SAFE building along West Norway road. When we arrived there were a bunch of guys drinking outside. Upon checkin they told us we were in this back building. We drove up and in the room next to ours, there was a car with its front tire off and the car resting on its rim. The tire was in the next parking space. Outside the room was a bunch of suit cases, a table and chairs, a little pool for dipping your feet in, and a bunch of stuff that looked like it belongs in an abandoned storage locker. We go into the room and it is DIRTY. There is only the overhead working bright CFL light. The door does not have any safety deadbolt on it. There is no deadlock, just a twist lock. I then checked the window, and the lock does not work - ANYONE can just slide the window open. Throughout the rest of the parking lot were very run down cars. A number of the rooms had stuff outside the rooms. We left immediately. On the plus side - the front desk gave us a refund even though we had booked through this site. FWIW, The "front" hotel - the one in the pictures - looks very nice, safe, and well maintained. The back hotel that you will be put into - is not.
