"Amazing"

"The hotel is nice for a short stay however could do with a few upgrades but generally well maintained. When we arrived we had a very warm welcome and throughout the stay our 2 dogs were made to feel relaxed and happy. The shower in the room was so small you struggled to move about and the shower gel provided even though smelt lovely was obviously watered down. "Nice location, quiet room, mostly clean, pleased to see there was a fan available. We were disappointed that the pub doesn't serve food on a Monday night. We missed breakfast as had to leave before 8am. Decent place to stay, would go again. A little tight for parking but worked out okay."

"The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

"Lovely staff. However, the bathroom was separate from the room - although private and this was a bit of a. Issue - although my fault because I have not understood that private bathroom meant separate. I slept really well though. Other bugbear - WIFI it’s useless and I am very glad I wasn’t visiting for work. However, the Bull was friendly, inexpensive and I slept well."

"Some sort of food scattered on the floor freezing cold bedroom felt like we were in a refrigerated room. Rail on the stairs was not safe wobbled as you held onto it. Stuff were very pleasing when we arrived. Stayed for an hour and decided to move out to somewhere more suitable the same day."

"This was my first time staying here or even being in Shrewsbury and I can honestly say it was fantastic. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and able to give me suggestions on places to visit during my stay. The breakfast was fantastic and food served during the day was also amazing. Room was lovely and clean and a good size. My only problem was the mattress on the bed was so hard it was difficult to sleep. Other than that thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Thank you to all staff"
