"I read a number of the negative reviews (after I had booked) and arrived at the hotel with anticipation of being disappointed. I am glad to say we had a lovely stay. Food was good, staff helpful, it is a lovely setting. I stayed in the river view suite and the room was great. Design good and lots of space. There is a lovely walk along the river. My only regret was that I had not figured where the hot buffet was at breakfast. I only spotted it when I was leaving. Thankfully, I was not there when...

Neither did they made any effort to understand what we were asking. I would expect them to atleast understand the basic words, if they are in hospitaliy business in Europe. 2. Additional ones were given on request. Airport shuttle runs 24 hours but needs reservation and the van is small. Taking the shuttle from the airport on arrival would need prior arrangement. We were not able to contact the hotel from the airport and ended up jumping into a taxi and the driver wasn't...

"The entire experience at the Yeatman can be summed up in one word- Impeccable! The staff, the food , the atmosphere and the accommodations. I have travel across the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels. This Yeatman ranks at the top of my list. The moment you walk in you are greeted with beautiful decor, excellent staff and a very welcoming feeling. The corridors and room designs were lovely and spacious. "Nice staff good location"

"Very handy for the airport if you have an early flight or late arrival. Within easy walking distance. Not a characterful hotel, more a commuting stop over but fine for that purpose. Very close to the metro stop for Porto, in fact just over the road! Very tiny downside but annoying factor is you have to buy milk if you want to make a cup of tea! No complimentary milk at this hotel! "

"Loved the location at the Rio Douro! Lots of options for drinks/dining, shopping and walking thru the neighborhoods of the city. The hotel was nice with sitting areas to meet with others in our group and the staff was very friendly and polite. I would definitely stay there again."
