"We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus! Check in / check out was swift and efficient. "The accommodation is tired and needs updating. The rooms are very basic and were not very clean. The bathroom needs to be completely refurbished. The staff were helpful and pleasant but overall not a pleasant stay and would not recommend staying there"

"Clean, warm room. Big bathroom. TV signal unreliable but didn't bother us. Stayed in the rooms in annexe over-looking lovely gardens. Walls a bit thin so could hear upstairs a bit. Plenty of parking and walkable to Hooton station."

"Very lovely welcome from Rebecca the host and clean comfortable rooms. We booked the whole B and B to attend a wedding and it was really helpful to go before to change. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. Great place to stay!"

"The booking clerk was quite brusque and was unable to give any information about activities in the area. This was unsurprising, as the same man was doing the bar, reception and taking and serving food orders on our first night - no sign of anyone else! The room had a good view of the lovely looking garden with picnic tables and view of River Dee. Unfortunately, it remained padlocked throughout our stay. The room was a good size with twin beds, but laid out so that you had to crane your neck...

"I liked the design of the room, amenities and the A/C worked perfectly in the greatest heat outside. It was moden and quiet inside the room. Our windows were facing the car park and motorway services, so occasionally a noise from cars could be heard. But we slept well and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom could do with some restoration soon, as signs of wear could be visible. But overall for the price we paid and convenient location it was a very good choice."

"When I turned on to the drive I was struck by the stunning tudor style building and grounds. I received a warm welcome from the friendly staff when I checked in, and clear directions on how to get to my room. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The decor was a little dated, but you could argue inkeeping for the period of the property. The grounds are stunning."

"Slightly odd stay. The hotel is down a little lane. I didn't realise that there was a charge for parking until I arrived. You need to ring a bell to get in to the hotel and then you get let it. As I arrived there were some people who thought they had a room booked but the person working there could not find it. I was then checked in and taken to my room. "Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews. Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive. Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly."
