"Beautiful large country house in spectacular surroundings with a fantastic welcome from the gentleman at reception who couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful! A brilliant start! The room was cosy and had everything one would expect and the shower was great too! The decor was so smart and well-suited to the rest of the property. We were lucky enough to be situated in the coach house on the ground floor so we had some French doors on to a patio table and chairs which was great to relax on...

Grounds have some interesting photo opportunities for weddings but disjointed and tacky for any other time."

The very few Staff that were there (if you could find them) were lovely, but I couldn’t overcome the feeling that the place had been deserted and left to rot. Breakfast near inedible but evening meal was ok. Nonetheless, not terrible value for money."

"This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. "Stayed here 2 nights as I was attending nearby Festival. I Called Les the host and he was very accommodating leaving my keys in the safe box. The room was clean and housekeeping came daily. The bed was very Comfortable i had 2 really good night sleep here. Bayside is right next to the beach which was a bonus as it was a warm bank holiday weekend. Definitely recommend a stay here."

"We attended for a wedding, the venue and all the staff were amazing. Our room was missing a put up bed which was organised straight away and many apologies were revieved. The room was spotless although as the bathroom window was open while we partied away, a team of bugs decided to enter and party in our bath tub! Not the hotel's fault but did need to keep the door closed to make sure the party didnt expand to the bedroom and did make us feel a bit yucky by morning. The joys of having nature at...
