"Found a room on the Hotels.com app but stopped by the hotel to check it out before booking. The front desk initially said no rooms were available, despite the app showing otherwise. After some persistence and a 10–15 minute discussion involving another staff member, I was shown a room I liked. Due to system issues, I was told to book through the app. I did so, paid, and received confirmation, which the clerk also saw—but they still couldn’t assign the room due to aforementioned system issue. "We travel to appleby castle as often as possibly we luv the company of sally and her staff. It will be a shame for the castle to be sold its so relaxing and the staff are down to earth which is what we like as a group. "

"I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. "

"A lovely, well equipped cottage, ideal for 1-2 people, nicely tucked away in a village that has so much going on. Clean, comfortable and a lovely welcome basket from the owners. The small kitchen area has everything you need, the decor is lovely and the lighting is great. The woodburner is left ready to light, though I didn’t need it. There is lots of local information left by the owners, who are very friendly and welcoming."
