"The first room I was assigned was absolutely horrible - the carpet was dirty and had hair on it and rubber bands, and there was a huge clump of hair in the bathroom. It was disgusting!!! however, the hotel staff was amazing and they upgraded me to one of their little cabins which was definitely nicer, but the property is very old, so even the cabin was dark and rather dreary. The property itself was great. The restaurant was fantastic and they have the best bartender with the greatest personality ever! I wish I could remember his name, but I can’t. Great location and I had a fabulous time, but I would not spend this kind of money to stay in these old rundown rooms again."
"This property definitely has a monopoly as far as location. Check-in was a surprise as there was an added charge for any potential damages. Nowhere was this disclosed prior to arrival. Restaurant was good, bar was good but very unfriendly wait staff.
All in all I would probably not recommend staying here. However, not much else available. "
"Everything was superb except one of the EV Charger parking stalls was fenced off because a few stones on the landscape wall were damaged. There was no reason to close the entire parking stall. There was also a non-EV BMW 3 series parked in the only other charging stall, blocking access to it. When people drive hundreds of miles into Death Valley to an expensive Inn with two chargers, they shoukd be able to expect the management to ensure both are available to actual EV cars."
"The location was good and the room was clean and the front desk staff that checked us in were very nice. That’s the only good things I can say. Our room was as bright as the sun when the lights were turned off as it faced north with a parking lot and no blackout curtains. We were on the first floor and there is no sound proofing between floors. We heard every footstep from the second floor. It was so noisy. The upstairs room woke up at 3:30 am. Two people took showers and the noise from the showers sounded like a tornado going through the hotel. I’m not making this up. Also the wind was blowing outside and the windows and doors aren’t properly weatherstripped and it whistles like a train non-stop.
If you just need a place to shower, this motel is ok. But if you want a restful night sleep, I don’t recommend it. "
