Luz is a great place to stay. We returned after 10 years and what a great surprise to see some familiar faces and some great new ones as well. Many changes since our last stay and all beautiful and for the good. We had the complimentary breakfast and it was delicious. Would highly recommend staying at Luz. Great accommodations, owners, and staff provide fantastic value for the money.

This was a wonderful experience. Beautiful pool area with plenty of space to relax, love the pool bar. Great owners on site, willing to help with your needs. Excellent breakfast included in the price. Great location! The perfect low rise, local owned & operated. You get the feel of real Mexico with excellent hospitality.

Great Service

It was nice. Great location-very close to the main plaza. We got the room that had three beds and a full kitchenette. It was called La Perla. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and the facilities are great. The included breakfast was exceptional, but it did take a long time. There was also secure parking, which was nice.

Wonderful!

Free purified water, so I didn't have any GI issues while in Mexico. Staff super nice and helpful. Tips about the area as well as knowledge about things we didn't even think to ask about, like the parking lot being locked at night. They can get you into the parking lot when locked, they just need to know in advance. Beautiful hotel with plants everywhere. Rooms by the pool are insulated from the sounds of the city. Little bar by pool open from 2-7 pm. Quietest hotel I've been in. AC works quickly. Communal kitchen if you don't have a kitchenette in your room. Good free breakfast (real food like a restaurant but secluded within the hotel) with two vegetarian options. Housekeeping washed our dishes every day, which we did not expect, but really appreciated. Overall lovely. Nice to stay in a nice place with some local color.

El ventilador de techo de nuestra habitación (Los gallitos) no tenía la potencia suficiente para refrescar el ambiente; nos facilitaron un ventilador portátil para compensar esta deficiencia. Esperaba encontrar una caja de seguridad en la habitación, pero no había.

First time in Merida

Went to Merida for the first time and it was magical. The city itself has a lot to offer but honestly our stay at the hotel really made it for us. The entire staff including the owner made our stay so comfortable and fun. We stayed in the Tortuga room and it was super clean and comfortable. Had our own patio and hammock. The pool was a great place to hang and relax as well. If you need help with activities the staff wil help and their recommendations are good and fairly priced. The breakfast and coffee is also tasty. We’ll be back. Hasta Lu!

Luz en Yucatan, was a great central location in Merida. We were able to walk around to dining areas and the park. Enjoyed a full breakfast every morning. The staff were so warm and welcoming, so helpful.
