"Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend."

"The property is very modern, wellmaintained and the staff are helpful. It is in a convenient location close to the train station and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the town centre. There is also a bus service from the train station. The area is quiet. There is a good buffet breakfast."

"Reception was welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. With iron and ironing board. Dove toiletries. Bar and food available, so we decided eat at hotel. Typical pub/ bar menu, but it was served hot and cooked perfect. Overnight stay due to an early flight. breakfast was continental as we had to leave early.However, have to say it was amazing. Hot pancakes, yogurt, fruit, croissants, cereal, toast marmalade, butter. Beautiful and fresh. If this was the standard, I can only...

"Lovely property in countryside attached to a very well maintained golf course. No bath robes, slippers or safe in the room which I would have expected for a hotel of this type and price point. Very clean and well looked after. Helpful, pleasant local staff."

"Out tv didn't work which we reported to reception but it wasn't fixed. Also our room wasn't cleaned for the 3 days we were there."

"Looked good from the outside, parking easy. Not remotely a 4 * hotel - no fridge or water in the room, marks in the bathroom, v limited loo paper. Self service breakfast, short on some items (eg croissants). Check in slow despite doing so online. Wouldn't hurry back."

"Great location for the city centre. Parking isn’t great. Small underground car park, with very tight bays to squeeze into, and it’s often full. Beds weren’t great, pillows were fine, and shower strong and hot. TV fine and easy to plug in your own HDMI cable for external devices."
