Location for our purpose was excellent (hospital nearby), but property was quite dirty with very poor services. Staff were very pleasant to deal with but they could not clean the apartments or fix tv’s.

Loved it

Clean and tidy apartment with everything that you need to a good stay. Close to shops, restaurants and public transport (tram, bus and train). And just 35 minutes walk in to the city this place is perfect. Close enough to the city but far enough out to be quiet.

The location is excellent. It was a bit difficult with a baby and pram and STUFF to be on the top floor with no lift, but aside from that the Birches staff were helpful and accommodating and it's so easy to get everywhere from there!

Stayed here due to its proximity to the MCG and great location for MCG access. Room is tired, small bathroom, stayed one night was ok for a shower and bed.

Found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful hot shower and very comfortable bed. Great location to hospitals, city and public transport. The only complaint was the carpet. Alot of stains and needed a steam clean. Would recommend the property otherwise.

Have stayed here twice. Great value for money. Clean, spacious apartment, kitchen, lounge and bathroom. Beautiful big windows! On site parking right at the door and an outdoor area with bbq. The staff are so lovely and accomodating-early checks ins, late check outs and even storing my items safely that I accidentally left behind.

I loved the security entry, the bathtub , the decoration piece in the towels a really nice touch; very clean,and wonderful staff ~ very understanding; bed very comfortable - I slept best I have in a while ~ fantastic that pets are welcome ~ only criticism I have is extra fee for parking when there is a car park attached to property- makes it very expensive when adding this ~ should be included in price ~ other than that I would be back in a heartbeat

Nice location, simple but comfortable and clean

Stayed there for the Australian Open, 20-25min walk. Close to train stations, supermarkets, 1-2 cafes for breakfast. The room was nice and airy, sofa bed was decent. Plenty of space. Could do with more clothing drawers esp if 2 or more are staying. The only drawback was the windows weren’t soundproof so woken up early every morning by traffic, garbage truck's, sirens etc If staying here for the tennis/cricket it’s an easy walk but if night sessions finish quite late u don’t won’t to walk back on ur own. It felt safe but very quiet and empty streets. If u have trouble with stairs ask for ground level too.

A comfortable stay in a convenient location

We chose this hotel because of the price and the excellent reviews. It is close to medical facilities and there is plenty of choice for places to eat. The room we had was a little old but clean, and there was plenty of space .... and the bed was comfortable! There was a little traffic noise at night and in the morning, but not a problem as the hotel is on a side street between two major roads. Everything worked, from kitchen appliances to lights. Parking $18 p/n. Bring your own bathroom requisites as they are not supplied. Service from staff was excellent: we appreciated the phone call to explain late arrival arrangements and the friendly face behind the counter the next day.
