This an older hotel that although it is starting to show it's age, it was clean and everything was maintained so that it made for a very comfortable stay.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful, no complaints there. The room was very neglected and absolutely stank of smoke and it got much worse when I turned the heater on. It was a very cold weekend so I had to use the heater but it was a choice I made reluctantly. I asked immediately if I could be moved but the motel was full and I wasn't offered a refund. There is a hotel directly opposite that I could perhaps have gone to.. My other issue is with the building I was in which is not the main building. It too is neglected but it also feels less safe than the main building. As a female staying alone I would have felt much safer in the main building. This is the second time I've stayed at the Bell Motel and my experiences have been totally different. It boils down to main building versus second neglected building .

The managers of this property were friendly, warm and helpful. I’d come back, just for their service. For the price, I felt the room was fair. Perfectly utilitarian for an overnight stay where I needed to be close to the hospitals. Amazing dining options in walking distance, particularly Shop Ramen.

We stayed at this property as we had fond memories of past visits. The staff were fantastic, but the site and rooms are tired and need some attention - re painting, new carpet and extra amenities like an additional soap for the shower and a blanket for cold nights and additional pillows for those that need more than one would have made things better. once simple things are done, it will be just a good as it ever was.
