"Buyer beware!!!!! This place is awful! I reserved a 2 queen room and at check in they gave me a king bed only, did not tell me they switched it and when I showed them my reservation they told me it was my fault despite the reservation clearly showing 2 queens! When the manager arrived on scene she told me the hotel was full and they had no other rooms and that I had to take what they gave me! Wow!!!!! So don’t trust them! Staff was absolutely awful! It was so bad I cancelled my reservation and...

"This is the second time I have stayed at this facility. Impressed with the expensive fixtures, carpet, and construction evident in the room. The staff was very helpful and friendly at check in. Plenty of safe parking witch is appreciated if you drive a vehicle you are concerned about and unlike some Tahoe "resorts" it is free."

"Our room was not cleaned during our stay. Since there was a sign on the bathroom mirror indicating it would be cleaned every other day we were surprised when it wasn't done. We asked why it wasn't clean and were told we needed to request that service. After pushing the issue, we were then told that we had a do not disturb sign on our door which wasn't true. "

Two potential improvements: we like a cool bedroom and warm bathroom, but it's not possible to heat the bathroom separately. Breakfast wasn't early enough to allow us to eat comfortably and get to our event; an earlier breakfast start would be great."

"The Element is a great hotel for Reno. Their breakfast was amazing! The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The bar was fabulous as well. The hotel does a lot of little things for the guests which was appreciated such as a happy hour, water and coffee available anytime. The only draw back is the hotel is located on a busy street so it can be loud in the evening."

"Parking online says $8 per day. I was charged $24 per day. Found a teeth flosser in spare bed. Also had to ask for pillow case for spare bedding didn't include one. Had to ask housekeeping for a shampoo as they had 2 body washes and 1 conditioner in the shower."

"My husband booked this hotel because he thought it was cool that it was an older building and the rooms were only in the 2nd and 3rd floor above a bar & restaurant. The room looked cute- modern decor in an old building. I’m not a neat freak but I do inspect the room. We hadn’t touched the bed and right there under the decor pillow lay two long stands of hair that was clearly not either of ours. Yuck. In the shower, I found several pieces of hair. "This hotel was very different than what i have ever stayed in. The room was small and reminded me of a college dorm room yet modern. The layout of the room was not well thought out either."

"The Hotei is new but sits right next to the freeway and under a flight path for planes coming into land at the local airport. The decor is simple with lots of hard surfaces. So everytime a client opens or closed their room door the sound echoes down the hallways. The room doors don't close, they slam. The room amenities are minimal...one tiny shampoo and soap. No hair dryers. Small sized towels. A nice small kitchen but completely empty...so useless except for the refrigerator...unless you...

"The area was in an industrial part of town and not the best part of town! Parking was OK. The hotel staff was very good. We didn’t have any interaction with the housekeeping staff other than getting clean towels. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff was very accommodating. The only thing negative in the room was I didn’t have a very comfortable chair and there was no counter space in the bathroom."
