MILL HOUSE FULL OF CHARACTER

Wonderfully quaint B&B in and old mill. Our room was right up in the roof space. Might not be suitabe for some as the stairs are very steep and windy, and our room had two low beams at face height, but it certainly had character and charm.

We had a great stay - Bruno and wife were excellent hosts really friendly - if you need a meal go early as the path from the resturant was dark !!! Would recommend - breakfast in the garden was great

Charming hosts and a superb location

We wanted somewhere quirrky that was close-ish to Waterloo. Cathy & Bruno were charming hosts and their passion for their business and flair is reflected in the decor of the rooms. Having arrived quite late in the dark on account of "an incident" in the tunnel, we had resigned ourselves to the fact that we would not be eating that night, as this logis is set in a very quiet community. However, on arrival Bruno allayed our fears by directing us to a superb Italian restaurant in a nearby commercial centre 7 kms away. The breakfast the following moring (I won't spoil how it is served) was right on the money and the drinks machine in the room for hot chocolate, espresso and cafe au lait is perfect. We enjoyed two fantastic nights there and would most definitely return as we would also like to try the Kota Grill (a style of Finnish cooking) that is located within their grounds.

Ländlicher Charme

Ein charmantes Hotel mit sehr zuvorkommendem Service. Wir (49, 12, 10) haben auf unserem Weg in die Bretagne hier übernachtet und fühlten uns sehr wohl. Der Service war sehr persönlich aber nicht aufdringlich! Mangelhafte Sprachkenntnis meinerseits wurde mit Humor und Zuspruch ausgeglichen. Jederzeit würde ich diese Übernachtungsmöglichkeit wieder wählen, auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, ganz besondere Zimmer

In einem frisch renovierten schönen Haus gibt es mehrere sehr schöne, individuell eingerichtete Zimmer mit vielen Antiquitäten aber auch modernster Technik. Ländlich gelegen, wunderbar ruhig. Eine Kaffeemaschine und einen kleinen Kühlschrank hatten wir auf dem Zimmer (Familienzimmer, ein Doppelbett für die Eltern, eins für die Kinder, das aber auch wirklich nur für Kinder geeignet ist!). Achtung, das freigelegte Dachgebälk sieht toll aus, aber man kann sich auch den Kopf dran stoßen :-) Das Frühstück wird zur gewünschten Uhrzeit in einer Nische im Flur bereit gestellt, und man isst auf dem Zimmer. Im Ort gibt es einen kleinen Spielplatz, was bei Reisen mit kleinen Kindern extrem wichtig ist ;-)

Lovely place, lovely people

Tucked away in a corner of Pas de Calais is this little gem of a place. The owners are lovely people who obviously have a creative flair and also excellent customer service. We very much enjoyed the breakfast brought to the room, the shower and big fluffy towels, the incredibly comfy beds and the coffee (and chocolate) machine. We also had a superb meal at the pizzeria in the next village, booked for us when we arrived.

Bien malgré quelques détails à signaler

Séjour qui a démarré en compagnie de mon conjoint pour 2 nuits, bien que ce soit un déplacement professionnel. Â l'arrivée la propriétaire m'a dit que cela ne changait rien au tarif et elle m'a compté un supplément de tarif le jour de mon départ, pas très correct.. Les propriétaires sont accueillants sympathiques, cependant le concept chambres d'hôtes n'est pas respecté. Le petit déjeuner est prévu dans la chambre, toutes les chambres d'hôtes que j'ai fait le petit déjeuner était servi avec les propriétaires, là cela ressemble davantage à un hotel. Dans l'ensemble chambre propre excepté la poubelle pleine (couche bébé usager), et quelques toiles d'araignées sur l'applique et dans la salle de bain entre la paroi dd douche et la cuvette dd WC. Hormis ces détails, j'ai passé un agréable séjour et c'est avec plaisir que j'y reviendrai..
