"Really lovely venue. Clean, spacious and attentive staff. They went out of their way to help! The food was delicious- we had the breakfast and, even as a big eater, I had to leave some of the full veggie english (amazing sausages!)! The pancakes were great too! We also used the packed lunch making facility for our climb to Helvellyn (which you can do from the hotel!) and this was also really nice. Would highly recommend. The only thing that would improve the hotel for me would be a dry room...

Car parking is a massive issue however that’s not really the hotel fault but Just one to be aware of, although the hotels answer to the parking issue is to charge you £25 to use their car park but even that gets full by 1100. So plan ahead for parking. Breakfast is nice. Overall a good stay with amazing staff but just a very aging hotel with signs money has dried up."
