The sweetest staff in a wonderful. Great location ( once you remember where it is ). Although like most Riad’s the rooms aren’t exactly huge l, they are delightful.

We stayed at 3 riads in the Medina, this Riad was our favourite. Most comfortable beds. Best breakfast. Nicest rooftop surrounding scenery. It was the furthest Riad from the square that we stayed. We were unsure about the distance but it’s not far at all! Great staff. Would definitely stay again.

Great experience

Great location right in the Medina and easy and fast to go out & see stuff. Clean rooms, nothing fancy but if you want fancy book the Mamounia... Tip: As the prior posts already said it would be difficult to find I attach two photos how to find it: The first is the passage you need to find (don't follow google to the "closest point on the map": When coming from the south keep going straight ahead and follow the prolongation of rue Mouassine: Dar El Maâden, then you'll see the passageway with sign at the top on your left). Once you enter you'll directly see the signs on the second picture and from there no problem, just keep going...

Nice Riad, worth the money

very nice place. walking to the Riad may feel shady at first but once you enter the building it is very nice and comfortable. Staff is very helpful and room is clean. Make sure you remember how to get to the riad( wifi is terrible there so don't rely on google map all the time)

Établissement bien situé propre et calme

Agréable séjour dans ce charmant et chaleureux Riad, au coeur de la médina, endroit très reposant surtout après une journée sur la place jemà ´el fn'a, petit déjeuné complet avec produit typique du Maroc , je recommande vivement cet établissement , très bon accueil

This riad is really difficult to find. Wifi very slow and there was no door at the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious.

Laid back, relaxing trip

Staff friendly and keen to help. Once directions to and from the accommodation have been identified it really is pretty easy to access all the main areas of Marrakech. Slightly chilly at this time of the year (December) but staff do light an open fire in the evening. Would not recommend staying here with children.

First night in Marrakech

We stayed here our first two nights in Marrakech. The staff was very friendly, we were greeted with tea / snacks which was perfect after our very long travel day. The room was very large, well appointed and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and it felt much more authentic then staying in a larger chain type hotel. The Riad was a little hard to find - I would recommend taking advantage of one of the guides to help you navigate the narrow streets. It was after dark when we arrived and would have been very difficult for us to find on our own.

Très bon séjour

Avons séjourné du 5 au 9 août 2015 dans ce riad. Malgré un petit problème à notre arrivée le matin (pas de réservation), la situation a été très vite réglée. Thé menthe offert à notre arrivée. Chambre très bien décorée (très typique), spacieuse et propre. Salle de bain grande également et propre. Le personnel du riad est extrêmement aimable et ils ont accepté de nous préparer le petit déjeuner à l'heure que nous le souhaitions (départ tôt pour des visites par exemple). Possibilité de dîner dans le riad si réservation avant 13h. N'avons pas testé toutefois. Petit déjeuner correct et thé menthe servi à n'importe quelle heure, gratuitement. Pour la piscine, il s'agit en réalité d'une baignoire. S'agissant du Wifi, il n'est pas des plus performants mais c'est un détail à notre avis du moment qu'il fonctionne quand même un peu. Excellent séjour et nous recommandons ce riad.

Weekend Get Away

No one spoken English at riad therefore, difficult to communicate. Didn't appreciate eating my breakfast with cats. Cooks was very nice. Location is great. Property does not reflect the pictures on website. It's not as clean and tidy.

Deprimente y difícil de encontrar

Muy difícil de encontrar. A pesar de que llamamos pasaron de ayudarnos. En la habitación el baño sin prácticamente luz. La habitación muy calurosa y con humedades, costaba respirar. Ni siquiera te dan una llave para tu habitación, se cierra con un cerrojo y te dicen que están ellos pendientes: seguridad nula. Una de las trabajadoras que nos atendió muy poco servicial. Se tuvo que levantar 15 minutos antes para el desayuno para que llegásemos a un autobús y ni siquiera nos dió los buenos días de lo mal que la sentó. Relación calidad-precio mala.

Great place in the medina

If you want to get the real feel of the life and culture of Marrakesh....stay in the Medina. While tough to find initially, it is a short walk to the big square.

Schönes Riad in zentraler Lage

Das Riad liegt zentral in der Stadt, ca. 10 Minuten Fußweg vom Hauptplatz entfernt. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig zu erreichen. In unserem Zimmer gab es keine Tür im Bad. Am Anfang gewöhnungsbedürftig, nach 2 Tagen hat es uns aber schon nicht mehr gestört. Die Zimmer sind traditionell eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Personal spricht fast nur französisch, man bemüht sich aber mit nden und Füßen um eine reibungslose Kommunikation. Auch Ausflüge planen die Damen und Herren vom Riad gerne und zuvelässig.

Personal spitze rest leider misserabel

Am Riad angekommen, mussten wir feststellen das der weg bis dahin eine Qual war und wir freuten uns auf ein warmes Bad und Erholung. Ein warmes Bad ist jedoch nur dann möglich wenn warmes Wasser zur Verfügung steh...etc Auch Kleiderkasten war nicht vorhanden weshalb wir unsere Kleidung in die Koffer liessen oder überall aufhängten. Safe im Zimmer wie bitte!! Ich frage mich nur bis heute wo dieser Spa geblieben ist!! Okay ausser das weder das Personal noch die Eigentümer (naja der Boss persönlich bisschen, aber das Pech war die waren nie da ausser kurz am morgen und dann wieder weg) kein English verstanden haben. Ah ja das Bett war natürlich sehr speziell!! Und als wir versuchten mit denn Eigentümer über diverse Mängel zu sprechen (man muss halt schon als Gastronom auch zuhören und Kritik fähig sein) wurden wir mit bestraft das unser Zimmer nicht sauber gemacht wurde und so akzeptierten wir dies weil es unser letzter Abend war.Wenn ich nun weiter fahren müsste würde ich einen Buch schreiben müssen, darum kurz und knapp ein abschreckendes Beispiel wer sich alles als Hotelier bezeichnen kann. Denn auch mit Minimum an Möglichkeiten ist es möglich ein guter Gastgeber zu sein.

Bon hôtel, des points a améliorer.

Les +: au cœur de la médina a proximité direct des points clés de la ville. Decoration traditionnelle. Petit déjeuner copieux. Havre de paix. Personnel serviable. Les -: Riad situé dans un passage introuvable et pas sécurisant.Très difficile de se repérer. On se perd facilement. Concernant le hamman proposé sur la carte, le prix affiché n'a pas été respecté. D'après le personnel les tarifs venaient de changer. Il serait judicieux d'actualiser les cartes. De plus, nous avons été conduit en terrasse dans une pièce minuscule assis a même le sol, le hamman consiste a ce qu on nous jete dessus des seaux remplis d'eau chaude. Très violent, aucune détente. Enfin, le transporteur chargé de nous ramener a l aéroport et déjà réglé a l hôtel, nous a réclamé plus d'argent prétextant des services supplémentaires.

Truly great experience, walking distance to everything

I'll say first that the only reason I gave four stars for 'Location' is that this Riad is incredibly difficult to find. As a result, I highly recommend going to their website after you've booked and emailing them about an airport pickup. It's a little pricey (well, pricey compared to just taking a taxi, though you could get out-negotiated or tricked there, too, so it balances out), but well-worth it to have someone lead you through the maze of alleys and tunnels to the Riad the first time. You might even get lost the second time you try to find your way back — I did. Otherwise, the place is wonderful. It's beautiful on the inside, the people who run the place and work there are incredibly accommodating and pleasant. I saw in a review somewhere before booking that the doors don't have their own keys, and that's true, but I never once felt like my possessions were in any danger, as the Riad is closed off from the rest of the world and there are staffers around on at all times. The breakfast is fairly simple (juice, coffee, Moroccan pancakes, eggs, bread, bowls of pomogranate seeds and cups of yogurt on alternating days, flatbread) — nothing to write home about, but good. The other meals that are available are wonderful; we had a three-part dinner ordered for the night we arrived, and it was fabulous. All in all, I'm really glad we booked this Riad — it's not the fanciest of the available options (we stopped through to eat and have coffee at some of the super high-end offerings during our stay in Marrakech), but it is very, very nice, especially for the price, and the people there made it a very relaxing place to stay, especially compared to the hustle and bustle of merchants and conmen that otherwise pervade the Medina area.

hotel très agréable

très joli riad, il faut savoir pour les femmes qui arrivent seules la nuit qu'il ne faut pas mettre de talons, les pavés font defauts. Prévenir que les ruelles sont glauques et sinueuses...Crise d'angoise puis ilot de paradis... Mais rassurée par le porteur extrement gentil et rassurant.
