Hidden gem. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. Quiet away from the noise. Love the mini pool on the terrace. Other than the sewer odor in the neighborhood, RLPR is a lovely hideaway.
Host was lovely and made stay so easy booking us taxi’s to the centre, airport etc. made us feel very welcome. Room was lovely and Riad itself. Would recommend!!
Location is a bit awkward if you're on foot and not used to Marrakech traffic and the water pressure was very low. But the staff was perfect, room was amazing and everything else was perfect.
I would easily go back without a doubt
A lovely building. The room was great. We didn’t use the rooftop facilities, but checked them out and they looked good.
The courtyard area was lovely, such a great place to come back to after a busy day.
Staff were great too.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying there.
Our first trip to Marrakesh just left me wanting more.
What an incredible and friendly place.
A different world.
La Port Rouge was amazing. Lovely rooms and decor. Helpful staff and delicious breakfast.

Very nice and hospitable riyad. I loved the atmosphere. Nice food and very warm and welcome.
Only fact, the jacuzzi was a little outdated. We had some scratches from the stones after swimming.
A very friendly and helpful staff. Property is charming, quiet and comfortable, if a bit far from most attractions, such as Djama El Fna, a 20 min. walk away, half on noisy, traffic-filled streets. But easy enough to get a taxi to and fro. Would stay there again.
My brother and me were amazed by that cute riad! Our time there was simply perfect! The people working there are full of kindness! They'll help you with everything (transfer, sightseeing, tours, questions etc.)! The food is delicious and soo yummy. We are so happy and totally recommend the "riad la porte rouge" for everyone. You won't regret it.

Breakfast was probably our highlight. Would have been nice to be asked wether we preferred tea or coffee, rather than serving us coffee which we both detest. Also, I could understand French and the key moment when my husband had returned in the hotel late ruined our stay. I was not going to use the services in offer more than what was expected, if you had let me in with the extra key. I just needed a bed to rest on after a day being away. Other than that please continue enjoying welcoming guests because it is a lovely place you have
The Riad is really cozy with a beautiful courtyard and a rooftop with sunbeds. The room is gorgeous and the beds very comfy. We also had heating on the room making it a great place to stay even during winter when it can get cold outside.
The breakfast was great too and really served with much love.
The only negative I have is that the location is not that great. It’s around 15min walk to the closest restaurants and about 30min to the Medina. We didn’t find it to be a problem though and walked everywhere. It’s a very quiet street but didn’t feel unsafe.
The hot tube on the roof could be a bit warmer and needs some fixing, some of the tiles are quite sharp.
Would definitely stay here again!

Nice room. Simple, clean. We loved the old doors and wrought iron fixtures. The place could use some updating. The bathroom smelled a bit off from the plumbing. The hot tub on the roof was cold. Our room could use some paint, shower tiles need to be redone. Nothing major but needs some sprucing up. The atmosphere was calm and quiet and it definitely gave offered fhe authentic feel we were looking for. The staff were lovely to deal with, very friendly and accommodating. The place is a bit tricky to find but that’s part of the adventure. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the nearest square, which isn’t bad, but watch out for traffic.
The property itself is amazing. An authentic Moroccan experience. Hospitality exceeded expectations.
The only thing of concern was to find the property. My husband and I had our own car. Navigation brought us in the proximity of the property. But without the help of a local we would not have been able to find it. We had to park our car on the street( we were told it was safe). Then we had to walk with our luggage approximately 500 m through narrow passages to our hotel. This was an experience of its own , but I suggest that the property places some signs to be easily found. Bazaar around the property was noisy and dirty. Locals are friendly and helpful.
The Riad La Porte Rouge was a fantastic hotel to stay at. Full of charm and personality.
The owner and his staff practically bent over backwards to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible.
I found the room to be clean and a great size for me, my wife and son.
Due to the time of year we visited, the room was particularly cold at night. The air conditioning unit didn't help much but the Riad was kind enough to lend us their portable heater which helped to take the edge off a bit.
The water in the shower was also a bit temperamental and I ended up with a luke warm or colder than I'd like shower on one or two occassions.
Really not a deal breaker though.
The location was a very straightforward walk to the centre, it took about 30 - 35 minutes and was safe and pleasant so long as you watch out for motorbikes.
Overall, my family and I very much enjoyed staying at this Riad and would recommend it.
Booked in advance for breakfast, but our flight got changed, so we missed that. Nice to know staff there to lock up this lovely Riad when you leave before light.
Good service
Friendly staff
Resealable price
The only issue is that the place is far from most of good places that u can hang out in such as Gueliz and jammae Fna Square
I loved everything about this Riad, it’s located near the Jma el fnaa, the souk, and the palace so it’s a beautiful location. The inside of this riad is magical, it’s super clean and the colours are beautiful. Our room was cleaned every day and the place was spotless. We woke up to a breakfast of Moroccan pancakes and jams, as well as coffee or tea. Loved it all! Wish we stayed longer!

Excellent service. Big rooms
Did not have card facilities when I had to pay for services after querying items in the bill. I had to set off in the dark in search of a cash point which was very stressful as I didn’t feel safe.
6 euros for a pot of mint tea is very steep when you can have full menus for that same price outside the property.
Despite advertising a pool it was not in use with tables and a flower pot clearly blocking access.
The advertised jacuzzi was neither hot or fully functioning (only 3 spouts worked) and parts of it were sharp to the touch cutting the skin when sitting on the tiles.
Nearly 30 minutes walk to the Medina but close to Badi Palace and Saadien Tombs.
