"We booked 2 twin rooms through expedia and when we arrived we were told that only one room was booked Two of us had to get a single room at an extra cost of just under 30 euros each I spoke to the manager the next morning and he is blaming expedia and told me i must ring them to get a refund I feel like i have been fobbed off"

"Top ligging, uitzicht op het kasteel en het water. Super service. Lekker eten. Top ontbijt. Ik zou zelf wat kleine veranderingen aanbrengen, in ieder geval op de 3e etage. Dit zodat de kamer groter is, meer begaanbaar. Slaapbank opklappen wanneer je met 2 personen in een 4 persoons kamer zit. Ligbad eruit halen en alleen een douche plaatsen. De kastjes onder de wastafel weghalen en alleen een wastafel plaatsen. Algehele belevenis is zeker Heel Goed. Ik ga hier zeker terugkomen!!!"

"The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The restaurant was good. However there is nothing else around. We were on our way to La Rochelle and it was a good stop off point for one night. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Parking very easy and just of the autoroute"

"Could be my favourite hotel. Ever. The staff(owners) are lovely. Gave a tour of the wine cellar which was SPECTACULAR! Like a cathedral. The decor was brilliantly done. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was beautifully decorated w all new fixtures. The garden patio was out of a movie. Beds were king size and perfect. I have never stayed in a hotel with more attention to detail. And the town is the most perfect medieval town I have seen in France. We had dinner at Henri IV square...

"Das Hotel war insgesamt sauber. Das Zimmer zwar recht klein, aber für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok. Allerdings war der Aufenthalt nicht besonders einladend: Auf dem Flur roch es durchgehend unangenehm nach Zigarettenrauch. Das Frühstück war leider eine herbe Enttäuschung – sehr lieblos und qualitativ schlecht. Aufgrund des schlechten Frühstücks und des Geruchs im Flur würde ich hier nicht noch einmal buchen."

"Small but clean, comfortable & warm room. Bed excellent. Dinner options quite limited. No rain cover getting to restaurant! Garden paths need trimming!!!"

"Petit déjeuner restreint mais reste convenable pour le prix. Chambre un peu petit avec une salle de bain ou il ne faut pas être trop imposant. Et à rénover surtout. Literie vieillot. Réservation faite pour 2 personnes mais nous n'avions qu'une serviette et pas de tapis de bains. La porte de la chambre laissait passé un gros courant d'air Personnel gentil point positif. Convient pour une nuit voir 2 maximum, mais pas plus. "

"Basic at best. Location is on the outskirts of town in a petrol station. Bit of a walk (15min) into the town. Breakfast was really poor. There was no lighting as overhead lights had failed. (I did see people working on them the previous night, but obviously did not fix them). We had cycled from London to Paris. No bike storage, but staff said we could keep them stored in a conference room downstairs. "
