"Initially I was off put with the hotel because I wanted to book a 2 bedroom suite when I initially booked a one bedroom suite. They wouldn’t cancel my room so I can rebook even though it was less than 24 hours. I felt like this was going to be a horrible hotel but I was completely wrong. This hotel was AMAZING! "I am a solo traveler for me it was everything I needed. In town with all the locals everything you need around the hotel or close enough to walk. I never rented a golf cart just walked everywhere. The staff were amazing and very helpful with anything you may need. Definitely recommend"

"First time in Belize and wanted to experience San Pedro but staying at Ambergris Sunset Hotel killed it for me. I booked a standard room but on checkin the room was terrible. Wife was horrified. Sheets and room smelled musky, the door did not even have a standard door knob, it was a latch and a dead bolt on a wooden ply door!!!! Come on!!! Large gaps in the doorway when closed, and with the pool just outside you really down have privacy. It really was a terrible room in my opinion.I checked...
