"We had an excellent week at Il Querciolo. It is an ideal location for a base to explore Tuscany with Arezzo, Siena and Florence all within easy reach. If you prefer quieter smaller towns, there are plenty to choose from, such as Cortona, Monte San Savino, Gargonza, Lucignano, Castiglion Fiorentino - all close by. Cesare and family were amazing hosts and provided a warm welcome and plenty of suggestions of places to visit. They also produce some amazing wine, which you have to try when you stay....

"My family of 4 absolutely loved this resort. Stunningly beautiful views of Pienza and the Tuscan hill country. Quiet. Relaxed. Luxurious Italian farmland. Loved it and want to return. Was the only place in Italy my family was very sad to leave. The restaurant was great. Breakfast included was very good. Room was beautiful- we were in a 2 bedroom apartment."

"Sound of traffic could be heard all night. If one booked a room that was not facing the road it may have been a total different experience. Adjoining restaurant was very good, would recommend."

"Ok. it a few issues that could be improved: eg hot water didn’t work consistently in the shower, towel hire for the pool was 5 euro per day not advised beforehand . parking near the entrance very tight. no tea cups for the room. no drinking glasses."

"Das ganze Gebäude und natürlich auch die Zimmer sind für uns immer wieder faszinierend. Ein uraltes landwirtschaftliches Gebäude gemischt mit modernen Zutaten, verwinkelte Ecken mit Überraschungen. Alles gelungen und interessant. Das Frühstück ist italienisch hergerichtet, bietet große Auswahl aber eben süß-lastig. Was man allerdings auch dazusagen muss: die Anfahrt ist mehr als gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die letzten 800m führen über einen nicht asphaltierten Feldweg, der unglaublich staubt....

"This is a beautiful property. I stayed here for three nights with a group of friends and we had a wonderful time. The staff in particular were absolutely wonderful and couldn’t do any more for us with highly recommend staying here. The food in the restaurant is also very good and we ate here on two evenings. It’s a gorgeous setting with Sunset views on the terrace."

"This really is a phenomenal location and property. Although we could only stay one night due to our itinerary, we were able to enjoy an afternoon at the pool, dinner al fresco with a beautiful sunset and then full moon rise. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The rooms are very nice and the staff is great too. It was worth it and I would stay again"

"Roberto and Victoria are lovely! So nice, very helpful and breakfast was so nice out in the garden! Roberto can’t do enough for you! Hotel is up around the middle of the town, well located to go up or down and near everything! The room we had was old, crowded and bathroom very tiny, even hard for my husband to fit between the sink and wall to get to the toilet, it’s just that the property is old and not renovated so understandable but because I depend a lot on reviews, I’m telling it like it...
