"We had a great stay. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, and the pool was amazing our kids loved it. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and stores within a 10-minute drive.
The only downsides were that the room felt a little too dark, and the bathtub’s soap, shampoo, and conditioner holder had some mold on it.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back!"
"The facility was clean. It was pet friendly but I would have preferred the suite. There should be a pet=friendly suite. My family and I had vacationed there, and it was nice. The storage door needs painting; it was rusted and scary looking. The breakfast room was nice and the food was good. Fresh fruit would have been a plus. We asked for room service while we there to watch our dog but was told it would be done on our return back. When we got back, we were told housekeeping left. After a long day at Hershey Park, it would have been nice to come back to a bed that was already made. My son enjoyed the pool. They need more umbrellas on the pool deck. The sun directly beams down and the shading at the pool would have been nice. They only had one umbrella and it was a little broken. I give this hotel a 7.5 out of 10."
"Everything about the hotel was fine. Friendly staff, clean , and location was great. My only complaint is that they only had one elevator working and the pool room was extremely hot other than that, I enjoyed the stay!!"
"The staff are excellent. Keep in mind you're staying in a train car - it can be a little tight but it's exactly as advertised. Just bring in what you need. It was nice to park right at our caboose. Our 4 year old loved the bunk beds - and I actually found them more firm & comfortable than the double bed (and I'm 6'2, 250#).
We did find the overall accommodations could used a more thorough cleaning (some dead bugs around windows and baseboards). Some additional maintenance would help spruce things up a bit (hole in bathroom door, switch covers not covering the cutout). These were BY NO MEANS dealbreakers, though - and not even something we'd raise with the staff - especially on our short stay. The AC units were a little loud, but we were happy to have them in 90 degree heat!
The location is beautiful, quiet, and convenient to Lancaster and Strasburg attractions. The petting zoo was nice to have onsite. We had a great time and will stay here again. It was a fun little adventure!"
