"We had a lovely nights stay at The Bell Inn. Room was comfortable and a good size, staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they were out of Roast Dinners on the evening we were there but there was plenty of other choices on the menu. The portion sizes were very good and the food lovely. There's a good breakfast choice, of continental and cooked options. The place is great for walking into the town or out along the canal. There is a carpark on site or free places just along the next street...

"An absolute gem! A wonderful authentic pub offering such comfortable and friendly accommodation. The restaurant food is delicious and the full English breakfast is the best I can remember. The village is delightful.. and we were lucky enough to stay a Thursday when there is music, and we also had the best Mortis dancing! Such a memorable stay! Thank you"

"Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles."

"I stayed at this property for a couple of weeks. Positives: Housekeeping and the Central Studios team for enquiries were very helpful. Very close amenities nearby,: convenience stores, a fish and chip shop, an Indian and Chinese restaurant as well as a pharmacy. Rooms are a good size. Negatives: The rooms looked tired and need redecorating. Carpets dirty. The single room I moved into at the beginning didn’t look like housekeeping had properly cleaned it. I had raised over the weeks...

"I booked through Expedia and paid at the time of reservation (night before the stay). I was then charged again when I checked in. I’ve tried reaching out to The Star but with no response so it looks like I’m not getting my money back. Very frustrating!"
