"The location was perfect, staff friendly helpful and kind warning about the football. We were a little worried but was actually ok, only a little noise when England scored which we cant complain at. Loved our stay, cute locatipn and our evening meal was exactly what we needed."

"Good location for exploring North Yorkshire , the food in the restaurant was good value for money , I can recommend the mixed grill mezzo for 2, there was a good choice of draft beer in the bar , the room was spacious & clean but requires updating the window didn’t close, the shower rail was loose, the toilet seat did not fit correctly & 1 light fitting failed to operate , the staff were friendly & the inn was good value for money with free parking"

"Property was unique but was so busy that items were overlooked. Our stay was 3 nights and we had asked each day that a burned out light be replaced. We were assured it would be done. However it was not done until the afternoon of the last night there. The bathroom had just 2 lights- hardly enough to see what you were doing."

"A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks."
