You have to pay for nearly every amenity it seems like after already paying plenty for the room. 2/3 of the beach was completely closed for our entire stay which is out of the control of the resort but then they still expected you to pay for a beach lounge chair and didn’t provide any additional chairs near the pool. I’ve stayed at other Melia resorts before and this is by far my most disappointing experience.

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the buffet is good, the views are amazing and is organized. The food in the restaurant is gross. My husband ordered a medium well steak and he got well cook that taste horrible, the waitress took it back and he lost the appetite that night

I’m only giving 2 stars because Claudia at the front desk was a gem, and the only helpful person at this hotel. My check-in took an hour as I booked a partial sea view room and they gave me a room facing the courtyard. I complained and had 2 staff members check out the room with me in which they just stated they were sold out of other rooms and I could pay an extra $50/night for a better view. I escalated to guest services, and they did nothing for me! My 48 hr holiday started off on a bad note. Their food options were limited, room service menu was poor, and restaurants closed early. I also got the stomach bug after their breakfast buffet that lasted 3 days. All in all, I wouldn’t stay there again nor would I recommend others.
the hotel is beautiful but they have horrible bad service, they have employees for fun, they don't help each other and they close places to eat in broad daylight where you can't even order anything to eat, the room service doesn't work at all, we called at night to eat something and the only thing they had was a wrap with cold chicken without sauce, the air conditioning is limited and in hot weather you literally can't sleep well because it's too hot. I hope they take my comments into account because I really don't want to come to a Meliá anymore, I went to one in Cuba called Paradisus by Meliá and it's a catastrophe and now I come to this one and again problems with the service, let me tell you that you may have the most beautiful hotel in the world but if your service is the worst hotel in the world, thank you
We stayed four nights at the Melia South Beach and loved it! Definitely the nicest resort on the beach in Magaluf. Loved the room and frontal sea view. The pool area was clean and well kept. Resort staff were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and was delicious. Suggestions: there is a small table in the room but no chair, would be nice to have a chair to sit and apply makeup etc. Also the bathroom has a light sensor so every time you enter the light automatically turns on which in the middle of the night can be annoying. Takes about 5 minutes for it to turn off. Also the AC could have been 1-2 degrees cooler. The pool area can definitely use more loungers as people put towels on them and save them. One day we had to walk around for quite a while and wait for some people to leave. Can’t imagine what it will be like in high season July/August. Otherwise everything was wonderful and I would definitely stay here again. I think next time I would upgrade and get a room with a balcony.
This is a nice hotel in a very live and beautiful neighborhood. The view is magnificent, and the beach is great.
Pools' hours of operation was really awful; 10 to 18 while it's bright and warm from 7 to 21... I didn't like this part.
From reception desk to elevators, there are few steps: no ramp and no body from hotel to help!!!
Showering was challenging too as water was hot and became cold in a second.
The property was beautiful and modern. It was mostly clean although we found the room to be a bit dusty and the floor did not feel clean. The room was luxurious and we enjoyed out stay!
