"This hotel in an old building. That said, the elevator, air-conditioning, shower, toilet, all worked. The desk staff and doorman were very helpful. The breakfast was OK, but I was disappointed that it was an Ameri-Brit buffet. We chose this hotel because of location which was incredible. We were at the market in Chinatown. Very fun. The hop on hop off bus was a good value and was close. Fun shopping and food out the front door."

Top Malayan Railways Limited Building Hotel Reviews

Aloft by Marriott Kuala Lumpur Sentral

10/10 Excellent

"Great facilities, clean rooms with interesting layout, friendly and helpful staff! I really appreciated that the staff helped with luggage (even up to the station when I needed to take the express for my flight). I also enjoyed the hotel’s closeness to the subway line for easier access to the city. The pool was a little small but I didn’t end up using it due to the smoke. The room was nice but I think what tips the scale is the friendly service. I would definitely stay here again :)"

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

10/10 Excellent

"Arriving at the hotel on its own was a whole experience. The staff welcomes you and takes your luggage up to the reception area which is actually on the 38th floor I believe! This amazed me! You get perfect view of the Twin Towers with a full 360 glass view of the city if im not exaggerating. The check in process was quick which I loved as I was a bit tired on arrival. I chose a garden view and that was also amazing. The room was well maintained, clean and the bed well tucked which is a deal breaker for me. I took a hot shower and was able to lay on my bed with a view of sky scrape buildings views at night. In the day I had a beautiful view of the garden view below. The hotel is almost connected with just a walk over from hotel exit onto the entrance of the sky walk way to the Mall and KL building so I got to explore on my own with just about a 6-10 min walk across the Sky walk to the pavilion. The breakfast was a whole experience as well. It had several live stations with Indian and western breakfast options. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I traveled solo and I did not feel alone. It is especially convient of its location if you want to be able to explore as a solo traveler within walking reach. The staff also helped me with a tour to be able to see a few must see sights with a save driver. My only bad review is I messaged twice through expedia for hotel shuttle information and did not get a response compared to other hotels quick responses via expedia."

Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent hotel in great location with spectacular views. We were allowed an early check in at 9:30am with no extra cost. Our standard room on 10th floor had good views of the city, very spacious and clean. There was a special filter drinking water tap in the bathroom which was very handy. You can pay extra for Merdeka tower view rooms on the opposite side or you can enjoy the views from 7th floor pool and bar area. In the evening you can see the KL tower, Petronas twin tower and the tallest Merdeka tower all in one frame glittering with lights along with the chinatown. Breakfast buffet on level 8 was exceptional with variety of items, continental, Chinese, Indian, traditional Malaysian, spoilt with choice. There are live counters, freshly made juices, plenty of seating indoor and on balcony. Plenty of eating options around in Cinatown, mrt station is 5-7min walk for public transport, central market & petaling street market is close by for shopping. We loved the fresh lemon water supply by the swimming pool and the innovative mocktails at the reception area. We had 3 luggages, grab ride to and from the airport was cheaper than the train and convenient. The complimentary wifi connection was good."

The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur

10/10 Excellent

"We had an absolutely amazing stay at the St Regis, everything was perfect. The hotel itself is astonishing, a well deserved 5 star. The rooms are very spacious, very comfy beds, clean, well serviced and a beautiful bathroom. There was a Japanese toilet which was novel ! Each morning the breakfast was wonderful. A very wide selection of types of food from the buffet, a small a la cart selection and an egg station. If you get there late there may be a short queue but that wasn't a problem. We ate dinner at The Brasserie restaurant a couple of times - delicious food and complimentary bites and also had cocktails in the Astor bar which cool. The pool has great views and is often empty, I never saw anyone else in there when I went for a swim. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to both Sentral station and Musuem Negara MRT. But the main thing I wanted to congratulate was the staff and service. All the staff were absolutely lovely, highly professional, polite but also very friendly and helpful and alongside the butler service who organised ironing and teas and coffees to the room whenever you like I would say it was the amazing staff and service that made the stay so special ! Thankyou for making our holiday in KL such a great experience"

Furama Bukit Bintang

10/10 Excellent

"We booked an executive room for my dad and I. The exec lounge and breakfast option is fantastic. Our first room did not meet our needs or expectations- it had a strong mould smell and poor shower. Upon speaking to management we were moved to room 1610 which was fantastic. Our room was well looked after had all the amenities you would need and the daily breakfast was great. All the staff was super attentive and really tried to help us be comfortable throughout our stay. Pros- location is great- easy for grabs and easy access to Bukit Bintang main area without all the mess. Executive breakfast is great. Great overhead shower. Amazing attentive staff. Great internet. Cons- some rooms older and maybe due for updating soon. Tv channels are very limited and tiny baby tvs! We’ve been to Malaysia 22 times and this is going to be my new go to KL hotel. For the price point and location you won’t get better."
