"This B&B in a residential district near the hustle and bustle-but removed-is a welcome change of pace from the high-rise hotels of Manila. Beautiful old house. Outstanding service with a smile from the young ladies of the house. They are what make the place special. Good breakfast, too! "Pleasant overnight stay at Dusit Thani Makati. Check-in was fast and easy, the lobby is beautiful and inviting, and the complimentary buffet breakfast had a great variety of Filipino favorites, pastries, and international dishes. The rooms were comfortable, though some furniture and amenities could use an update. Overall, a convenient and enjoyable stay in Makati."

"Great location. Refined and elegant service. I love the orchestra playing in the lobby towards the evening. It brings a special touch. Been coming since mid 80s and still my favorite hotel in Manila. If only they can modernize the rooms a little bit more. I don’t exactly know what they need to do but it’s a little bit old fashioned and worn out. Despite this I most highly recommend the Pen."

"I enjoyed my room overall. I would’ve liked my room serviced a bit more though. I had to consistently ask for toilet paper, coffee and tea, and fresh towels. I also had to specifically request (in addition to the make up room sign) for housekeeping to come in. The housekeeper was very nice though. Breakfast was good but I didn’t expect that I’d be limited to one drink and one plate of food off the menu each day. Although the food was good, I was often still hungry after I finished eating. Also, although this is a bit nitpicky, I don’t really understand why my room had a small kitchen when there aren’t any pots, pans, standard cups, or cooking/ eating utensils provided. Just seems a bit misleading to people who book the room because it has a kitchen only to find out they can’t use it."
