"Perfect stay"

"We booked to stay as it was near to Wadhurst Castle where we were attending a wedding. The room was The Yew and Eye. Spotlessly clean and a lovely area out the front to sit and enjoy a drink. Very quirky but charming. The welcome at reception and talk through in the room was excellent. The young lady even took a few moments out of her very busy day to give us a brief history of the pub. The bar was busy but well staffed. Breakfast was ample , fresh and most welcome"

"Room good. Nice lighting. Unusual. Spacious plenty parking. Friendly but professional staff. Reasonable prices in bar for food and drinks. Food in eve reasonable. Good breakfast. Coffee good. Bed comfy. Gym rubbish but equipment they got in there I use and it works ok. Never seen a rower that had been in the bottom of the sea. My gloves were rusty when I got off the rower😆 So yes, a good hotel. It always surprises me how many hotels get the above wrong. One other thing to mention. The spa...

"The George hotel in Rye offers a charming stay with a central location and helpful staff. The comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast were definite highlights. Its bar is also great, boasting a fantastic atmosphere. However, our (entry level) room was a little on the small side. Despite the cozy quarters, the hotel provides a very pleasant and enjoyable experience."

"The staff are exceptionally nice and always cheerful. The spa is extremely good with a quiet swimming area, jacuzzi, steam and sauna, as well as an excellent massage and facial. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend and very good value. "
