"Everything was exceptionally great for the price, great access to city and local area. Staff and locals were helpful and polite. Only note is kitchen/breakfast is closed on Saturday’s or weekends depending on booking capacity. Overall great place for budget friendly get away highly recommended."

"The owner, Jordi, and his staff went out of their way to help me. He gave me a ride from the train station to his nearby restaurant, where I had a fantastic dinner. Then he dropped me off at the hotel. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The front desk attendant was kind enough to drive me to the bus stop for my journey to Barcelona. "Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s. On the morning of our trip, we left by car at 8:20 am and got to the railway station platform by 8:28 for an 8:30 departure— yes literally 8 minutes which even included time to park and purchase tickets for the cogwheel train up to the monastery.
