The property is conveniently located, the rooms are clean and the service is good. The beach area is nice, the food is great and the staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Watch for over charges for drinks at the bar. Several times my group had to correct a specific staff member that was double charging drinks.

Sejour surprenant.. je pensais arrivé dans un ecolodge, lorsque j ai demandé la possibilité de mettre une moustiquaire on m'a invité a faire tourner la clim pour les éloigner.. En cours de sejour, l eau de la douche et lavabo est devenue salée. Dommage car il y a un beau potentiel.

An expensive, basic hotel calling itself "eco"
Great location on perhaps one of the biggest parts of Mahahual's narrow beach but that's the only positive point. I had a garden view room with private bathroom. "Garden view" was in fact "car park view", only the cabanas are set in what you might call the garden. Terrible WiFi in my room which only worked by the door. Glass sliding doors for the rooms don't have net curtains so for privacy you have to close the main curtain and put the lights on. If you have a ground floor room, you'll hear everything - and I mean everything - from the guests in the room above. Shower is a v shaped piece of wood with water coming out as a dribble. I also had two water leaks in the roof. There's nothing eco about this hotel, it's a marketing gimmick. Finally the staff were never particularly friendly. This is the worse review I have ever given for a hotel and would not stay again. Way overpriced for what it is.

Insonorización inexistente y falsamente ecológico
El check in fue pésimo porque me querían cobrar lo que ya le había pagado a hotels.com. Me negué, les enseñe la confirmación que recibí de ustedes y aceptaron ver si al día siguiente les llegaba el pago. Al día siguiente fui yo quien les tuvo que mostrar mi estado de cuenta, lo que es inadmissible. El frente a la playa está bonito pero por detrás, muy feo y descuidado. La insonorización es inexistente. Se oye todo, no pudimos casi dormir. No lo recomiendo y no regresaré.

Great stay
Bluekay is a nice eco lodge. I stayed in the double bed rooms with sea view. The private beach access and veranda sea breeze were the highlights. Rooms are rustic but comfortable. Dont expect tv and in room wifi access. Onsite bar and restaurants were another plus. The vegetarian/ vegan restaurant was fabulous. Though their service was a bit slow. Great option for mahahual.

La relación calidad-precio es excelente, el hotel es ecológico y rústico, pero con todo lo necesario para estar cómodos. Lo recomiendo si eres un viajero que no busca lujos.

La próxima vez probare otro alojamiento
Es mi tercera estancia en BlueKay y la experiencia ha demeritado. La habitación asignada olía mucho a húmedad, afortunadamente nos cambiaron a otra. A pesar de que esta ofertado, el hotel no cuenta con WIFI, en mi caso era necesario para trabajar. Platicando con otros viajeros supimos que es mejor llegar a Mahahual sin reservacion, se puede conseguir una mejor habitación a más bajo costo.

Todo el hotel es hermoso, sus instalaciones rústicas son únicas y originales, el problema que cuando pagas con tarjeta bancaria en el restaurante te cobran el 7 por ciento extra por el uso y no te dicen ya que en todo Quintana Roo se cobra el 4 por ciento y que está mal pues eso lo tiene que pagar el establecimiento y no lo anuncian

Endroit magnifique avec une très belle plage et près de tout, mais le service reçu à l’arrivée extrêmement décevant nous disans de ne pas aller ailleurs autour que l’hôtel possédait tout sur place, voulant même nous convertir à devenir végétarien.

Es lamentable que por tan poca hospitalidad por parte de los anfitriones del hotel se vea opacada una playa tan bella. Todo tiene un costo extra, hasta las cobijas ($500), en la descripción dice que tiene T.V e internet, pero es mentira, sólo te proporcionan la T.V pero tienes que pagar $200 por una USB que tiene grabadas películas. La actitud de las recepcionistas deja mucho que desear tienen un trato muy indiferente y poco hospitalario, ni siquiera nos proporcionaron pulseras al ingresar. A nuestra llegada el cuarto se encontraba sucio, la tubería tenía goteras, fugas en el lavamanos, la estructura de nuestra cabaña parecía inestable, las condiciones del baño no eran higiénicas, a mi parecer el costo es demasiado elevado para lo que ofrecen, existen mejores lugares para hospedarse en el pueblo. No volvería, ni recomendaría ese lugar, reservé dos noches pero sólo pude soportar la primera.
