"This was one of the most serene places to stay. The views were unreal, and the breakfast was amazing! The service was top tier too. I accidentally left a few things in my room after checkout, they contacted me within an hour and had it delivered to a Savoy location right by my airbnb the next morning. I would happily stay here again!"
"We stayed at The Vine to celebrate our 30th wedding Anniversary. We arrived hours before check-in. Not only were we checked in early, we received a room upgrade. When we entered the room, we were greeted with a welcome note and a bottle of champagne , We were able to shower and relax after traveling overnight and were totally refreshed when we began to explore Funchal!
Disaster struck during the 4th day of our stay; my wife broke her ankle requiring surgery and a short stay in a local hospital. This is where The Vine went above and beyond to take care of me while I was alone and both of us when my wife was released from the hospital.
Our stay was extended indefinitely until we could provide a departure date (since I had no idea when she would be released), Team members made special effort to find an accessible shower bench for her use when she was able to return. The front desk offered and provided a wheel chair enabling us to salvage what we could of our plans. When we finally were able to make our departure plans, The Vine handled everything - we got the assistance needed to get us safely to airport handicap services and our departure was a breeze. The early breakfast was delicious as it was during every day of our stay.
Long story short, Team Vine accommodated us in countless ways. The location, amenities and most of all, Vine team members, shine above and beyond expectations. This was the very best hotel experience we have ever experienced."
"Absolutely loved this hotel. It just ticked all the boxes for me. Immaculate rooms, substantial breakfast buffet with great views out to the ocean, option to swim in pools (indoor or outdoor) plus the amazing rock pool complete with lifeguards. Lots of quite spaces to lose yourself. Choice of numerous restaurants, state of the arc gym, fitness classes with views of the ocean, etc etc. What is there not to love about this place? I plan to return very soon. The Spa - oh my goodness this was amazing and the girls who carried out the treatments were just delightful. Only problem (which is NOT the hotel's faults) is flying in and out of Madeira as it is very windy!"
"Stayed here for a week during my recent solo travel to Madeira, and aside from the friendly staff, the clean facilities and the included daily buffet-style breakfast, the convenience of its location was what stood out for me the most: it's somehow both in a quiet neighbourhood and less than 10 minutes of walk away from the seaside and the marina, probably 5 minutes away from many local, non-touristy dining options and shops.
For travellers who prefer or are used to extras like on-site massages and spa days with their stay, this might not be the best option as it's still a 3-Star hotel after all. But for solo travellers and couples who simply need a nice, clean, well-situated spot to rest, recharge and perhaps take a dip in the pool before heading out for new adventures? I highly recommend The Editory Garden Carmo Funchal!"
"Perfect location to have access to everything in a comfy environment.
Unfortunately, in the evening, you can still hear the noise from the local shops. Otherwise, a beautiful place to stay."
A hostel is a great way to stay for a lower cost, so you can save more for going out. The beaches create an appealing natural setting, and you can enjoy attractions like the marina.
