Good apartment

Good apartment, good host, small town with everything nearby. Really good. It was a little bit warm and without a fan was not so comfortable, but for 1 or 2 nights was ok. The host gave us some excellent tipps where to eat and visit, it was great.

Nice apartments and marvellous host

First the five star rating, Matteo, the host is great. Despite late arrival he took really care of everything, gave us a lot of good advises about the village and the surroundings and overall a lot of nice services. World class. The apartments are located in the small village Maccagno, pretty quiet place with a couple of restaurants, some bars and also beaches and a supermarket just nearby open 7/7. It’s close to the lake, but no lake view, at least not from first floor. There is a couple of 100 meters to the small city beaches. Apartments are nice, nice balcony with furnitures, all is clean and the equipment in the kitchen is enough to cook your own meals. Otherwise one of the restaurants is located in the hotel garden, so very close. Beds are fine, no luxury but comfortable for a good sleep. Internet is free, somehow unstable and also relatively slow. It’s ok for short surf etc, but not good enough for streaming movies and similar. Parking is free, but during evenings the parking is also used by restaurant guests, meaning it could be difficult to find space. There are several public parkings in the area, so not really a big problem. There is no air condition in the apartments. We did know it but since the heatwave was coming in the week we spent there, it was really hot in the apt, with limited possibility to decrease the temperature. Overall a strong recommendation and really good value for money.

Familienurlaub in Bella Italia

Wir kannten das Objekt, da wir vor 2010 in dem damaligen Hotel Italia mehrfach waren. Es ist eine zentral gelegene Unterkunft, welche auch heute über eine sehr gute Gastronomie verfügt. Die Einrichtung ist einfach aber dennoch passt es zum Preisleistungsverhältnis. Es ist alles sauber gewesen und Matheo, der Receptions Chef ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, sowie hilfsbereit. Insgesamt war die für uns als Familie eine sehr schöne Woche, jedoch ohne Luxus, denn diesen wollten wir auch nicht.

Geräumig nettes Appartement

Das Appartement ist i.O. Gute grösse, geräumig und hat die Basics. Schade nur das es hatte leider keinen Balkon. Dafür konnten wir auswählen zwischen zwei Appartemente, in verschiedenen Himmelrichtungen. Badezimmer Renovierung bedürftig. Für ein paar Tage ist OK. Der Manager hat uns einige gutte Tips gegeben von Orten zu besuchen, Märkte und Restaurants. Der Strand ist in der Nähe sowie Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Dorf ist herzig und klein, aber man findet von allem.

einfache Unterkunft in Maccagno

Wir haben 3 Nächte im Hotel Emmaus übernachtet. Das Hotel liegt ganz zentral in dem kleinem Städtchen und man ist in 10 min zum Lago Maggiore gelaufen. Da die Unterkunft an einer viel befahrenen Hauptstraße und auf der anderen Seite unweit vom Bahnhof liegt, fanden wir es dort zu laut. Die Ausstattung mit einer kleinen Miniküche war ganz nett. Aber auch hier waren wir nicht ganz zufrieden, faden wir doch einen durchgerosteten Wasserkocher und eine zerkratzte Teflon Pfanne vor, die man nur noch in den Müll entsorgen kann.

Ideal base for visits to Lake Maggiore region.

We had a wonderful couple of days. Matteo the manager of the apartments is so knowledgeable and friendly that you can't help but be inspired to visit some the many varied and beautiful places he speaks of so passionately. Apartment is inexpensive and a great place to stay. It is simple and clean and has everything you need. It is good value for money. Parking on site is an asset too. We intend to go back next year.

Abbiamo alloggiato presso Appartamenti Emmaus..posizione comodissima per raggiungere sia il lago che il paese ed i servizi..tra l altro sotto c è un ristorante in cui si mangia veramente bene..massima gentilezza e disponibilità da parte di tutto lo staff..unica pecca dell appartamento è la cucina poco attrezzata ..per il resto i locali sono nuovi e ben tenuti

Sehr freundliches Personal. Es hat alles wie geklappt wie gebucht. Das Hotel liegt nur ein paar Gehminuten vom Bahnhof weg mitten im Ort. Das Zimmer hatte ein Fenster zur Strasse, der Verkehrslärm hielt sich in Grenzen. Ich habe nicht alle Zuschläge zum Preis verstanden. Vielleicht besser vorgängig per Mail vom Hotel bestätigen lassen. Trotzdem gerne wieder

Nie wieder...

Seit bald 20 Jahren fahren wir 3-4 mal jährlich nach Maccagno, übernachten meistens im gleichen Hotel. Diesmal leider im EMMAUS. Es war grausig dreckig, hab ich als Backpackerin nicht mal im Ausland so erlebt. Die Reception ist nur kurze Zeit besetzt, 10 Min. nach unserer Ankuft war niemand mehr da, um unsere Reklamation entgegen zu nehmen. Wir konnten also auch das Zimmer nicht wechseln.

Bra läge.

Bra läge för utflykter runt Lago Maggiore. Tyvärr så var städningen inte den bästa. Smutsiga golv och porslinet var dåligt diskat. Trevlig personal när det fanns någon på plats.

Das Studio hatte eine super Lage. Die Kontaktpersonen waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war nicht das sauberste Hotel, aber wir werden es trotzdem weiterempfehlen.

Das Hotel hat sehr komfortable Zimmer und ist gut ausgestattet, zum Lago sind es nur 5 Min. Nachteil ist das Restaurant im Erdgeschoss, hier wurde ab morgens um 6 beliefert.

Magnifique appartement.

Séjour en famille, 2 adultes et un enfant, pour 2 nuits. Nous avions réservé un F2, nous nous sommes retrouvé dans un F3 (avec 2 salles de bain!) pour le même prix. Avec un très grand balcon avec vue sur le lac. Les frais de ménage (25€) mentionnés sur le site ne nous ont pas été facturés. Mr Grigore, le gardien, et Matteo, le manager sont très sympas. L'un parle uniquement italien, l'autre parle un anglais courant et un peu français. La résidence est neuve et climatisée dans chaque pièce. Elle est très bien située, à quelques certaines de mètres du lac majeur. Seul bémol: la voie ferrée est à 50 mètres. Néanmoins, il y a très peu de trains.La 1ere nuit, environ 3 ou 4, aucun la deuxième nuit. Arrivée tardive possible (jusqu'à minuit). Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Je conseille cette location sans hésitation.

Clean and a great deal.

The rooms are simple and clean but have everything you need including a kitchen and a table. For the price this was a great deal in an expensive part of Italy less than a kilometer from Lake Maggiore and 45 minutes from Lake Lugano.
