Excellent place to stay at. In fact I was very surprised to see the dog welcome pack in the room and would recommend to anyone with a dog to stay there. Apart from a stain on pillowcase which didn’t bother me too much, the place was very clean and staff very friendly. Much appreciated for the two night stay.

Nice comfortable room. High end fixtures and fittings. Comfortable bed. Nice atmosphere in the bar/restaurant, shame the menu was limited and quite expensive.

What an excellent place to stay. Firstly let me commend the fantastic staff. All so courteous & professional, nothing was ever too much trouble. Our Comfy king room was in fact huge. Had the weather been better we’d have talent advantage of the outside area. The food in the restaurant was fist class. We’ll be back

The room was perfect as were the various snugs and restaurant areas..Staff were attentive without being annoying and they all did their jobs with a smile..They are a real asset to this business. Evening meal (Duck) was the best 'pub' meal we've eaten in a while, very simple but really well cooked and presented.

A unique friendly bespoke Hotel, really good
The hotel, building and accommodation are amazing, full of character with sympathetic renovation, make it a unique site. Our Room had a really comfortable bed and the room was a good size for a couple The only issue we’ve got with the Hotel was the somewhat irregular quality of the food. The first day we were there we had lunch, which quite honestly was really not very good and the first breakfast there was a big disappointment, dry badly presented. However, on the second day, when we had dinner from the three course menu, it was excellent really well presented very tasty as sitting those surrounds made it a joy. This morning, the breakfast we had before we checked out, was also well presented very tasty. Overall a very pleasing stay at the hotel which considering the problems at the Hotels facing due to excessive floods caused by the heavy thunderstorms.. The stuff without exception were very pleasant to you and communicated very well with their customers

Perfect choice for a very relaxing overnight break
From the welcome by professional and helpful Staff to the Check out from the same our stay was first class. The high quality of Customer Service shone through. Our Room was very comfortable and relaxing. Service at our meal in the evening very good. Nothing was too much trouble and we would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely weekend, highly recommended.
An enjoyable weekend in a well-managed pub/hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfasts and evening meal very good. We enjoyed the ambiance in the dining /bar area. We will happily return here and recommend to others.

Superb stay
A beautiful setting on the banks of a river Very well furnished large comfortable room. Well equipped with a Dyson fan for warmer evenings hairdryer and large flat screen tv with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime albeit neither worked during our stay due to connectivity problems.Free wi fi. Bathroom had a super shower and the products were of high quality. Bed supremely cozy. Restaurant had a large extensive menu which for the location was fairly priced Large well stocked bar. Staff very friendly throughout our stay and service was first class. Parking on site. Location gave easy access to both the New Forest along with the beaches and attractions of Bournemouth and surrounding coastal villages. An excellent stay

We had a really enjoyable stay at the The Old Mill. A lovely place set in a great location. Great food and excellent all round service. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful place to stay with wonderful staff
We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at The Old Mill. Our usual hotel was full and even though we had never been before I am so glad we booked! Everything was perfect from the warmest of welcomes, to the beautiful gardens, immaculate room and the hotel and pubs interior, right down to the fuss & love given to our dog Basil! On arrival the parking was plentiful and easy, the check in again was so warm and we were made to feel at home. There was no pressure to prebook a time for breakfast or dinner which was great for us as we really didn’t want to feel restricted and could enjoy our day and return when we wanted and eat. The room was beautiful and immaculate! I am very critical and I do have high standards and this met them all! The staff at the Old Mill really make this place very special, everyone we met were genuinely lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel at home and nothing was ever too much trouble! Even though they were very busy the staff took time to give us attention and make us feel valued and that really does go along way, this place really has the most loveliest homely feel! Many other establishments could learn from the team at The Old Mill, their management should be very proud of the amazing atmosphere they clearly work very hard to create! A special mention to Sydney who was exceptional! I honestly cannot fault anything we had the most wonderful stay and are already looking to book again in the autumn as we cannot wait to return!

We had a fabulous two night stay at this lovely hotel 3 miles from Lymington. Room was very spacious, breakfast five star, and the grounds and gardens were beautiful. Would definitely stay again. Staff were very attentive and friendly.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay with our little dog… and WOW what a WONDERFUL stay, I would highly recommend this and will certainly be returning!!!! We stayed in the double room with a private terrace and was fantastic - felt like home from home. The only thing I would say is the room didn’t have air con, so did get a little hot but this most certainly did NOT put us off. The breakfast was delicious and we had dinner here too, which was sooo nice and the staff were all so wonderful and attentive. The property itself is beautiful and set in peaceful surroundings. We travelled too Lymington, Milford on Sea and Brockenhurst, all very close. We will certainly be returning and thank you to everyone for a wonderful long weekend and our dog Benny most certainly enjoyed himself.

Hidden gem!
What a hidden gem! Came for a one night break with my husband and two children. Staff were really friendly, beautiful setting, food in the restaurant was tasty and the room (room 8) was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. We will definitely be back!

A really nice place to stay our room was clean and modern. Restaurant was nice staff very friendly with nice food. Very dog friendly our Lab was made to feel very welcome. The only negative was that the room was very hot which was fine as we opened the windows and there was a large fan in the room, but for this reason I wouldn’t book to stay in the summer months.

Wonderful Room
Lovely venue and nice polite staff greeted us on arrival. The room was spectacular and over exceeded expectations of myself and my partner. Would recommend to other travelling couples, young or older!

I had a dog-friendly room at the Old Mill with my black lab. It was perfect, with a little courtyard garden, and the staff were super welcoming of him. Breakfast was very good and lovely toiletries in the room. 10/10 :)

Will go back, definitely
Great location, lovely room and really good food. The service was pretty good too. The main building is lovely, with the stream that serviced the old mill still flowing. The building we stayed in didn’t look much from the outside, but the inside was really nice. They get you with a 12.5% discretionary tip on the food, so if you’re not a tipper, be warned! Didn’t bother us, though it’s always nice to have a choice!
