"expect OK receptionist but all staff are rude and racist and don’t want to work. The way my mother was treated, absolutely unacceptable. What I mean by they don’t want to work. I was turned away from two separate restaurants on property claiming you needed a reservation when there was clearly open tables. I walked out and found a manger. She follows up with, “we’re not busy enough right now to need reservations”. Very unfortunate and comfy feel that I ever had to deal with that."
"Hotel was nice but huge event in our last night outside our window kept us awake until after midnight. Hotel said they would credit our last night through Expedia but at this stage we have not seen any refund. We suspect they lied about the refund so we would not make a scene when leaving."
"This hotel is atrocious. The positive reviews on Expedia are fraudulent. The entire hotel (our room included) smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The towels and bedding are stained brown. The AC barely works and the WiFi is nonexistent. The food was terrible. cold, stale, and bland.
I’m a seasoned, international traveler. This hotel is much worse than an $11 hotel room in Vegas."
"We stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are rather dated but very clean. Excellent shower pressure and hot water! However the bathroom was a bit cramped. Definitely get a river view room if you can because the street view is not much to speak of. Our balcony door would not lock but we were on a higher floor and there is an in room safe so we didn’t feel worried about our things. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is great with many options to choose from. The gardens are extremely well kept and quite beautiful. The Sultana restaurant has a limited menu but the food was fabulous so we ate dinner there twice. There are many local and international restaurants within walking distance if you want something different. The best thing about this place is the location with close proximity to Luxor Temple—only an 8 to 10 minute walk. Karnak is also within walking distance if you want a longer hike (30 to 45 minutes) along the Nile but you will get harrassed by every boat captain and carriage driver along the way since they really need the business . In midday or late afternoon consider a carriage ride— the heat becomes oppressive. Avoid doing laundry here if you can. It’s very expensive at this hotel and we got much better prices at other places. Overall we had a nice stay. "
"The front desk staff, particularly Ms. Magda, provided an exceptional and highly professional welcome. The accommodations, though standard, included a very comfortable bed and pillows, and presented a stunning view of the Nile. The pool area offered a remarkably relaxing environment, enhanced by impressive landscaping. The breakfast buffet merits a five-star rating."
"Really lovely hotel. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean. I ate in the roof top restaurant which had an amazing view. Food was freshly prepared on-site and was delicious.
The pool was very clean and well maintained. The manager and staff were very friendly professional and hospitable. I would recommend."
