Delightful.

The staff are wonderful - so helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The Maison du Charme lives up to its name - it is charming. A 10 minute walk to the city walls. Excellent breakfast buffet. Comfortable, quiet room.

Extra charge

This was a beautiful property. 1.2 miles to the old town center. The spa shown on the photos is an extra charge of 20 Euros per person for 1.5 hours with 24 hour notice. Overall very comfortable and a nice breakfast.

Nice B&B and really lovely owners/staff who were very helpful , pleasant, generous and kind. It is on a slightly busy road and water took a while to get hot, but its a very relaxing and pleasant place to stay

Beautifully appointed hotel with small but helpful staff and unique decor oozing with Italian charm. Hotel is outside the city walls but it was easy to walk to Lucca's old town to wander its maze of streets and discover the many piazzas, restaurants, cafés and shops there.

A must-stay property when in Lucca

This beautiful property was wonderfully maintained and excellent services. Our room was very spacious, and always meticulously cleaned daily. The staff were always so willing to help and offered excellent suggestions when asked questions. Location was great, only 10-15 min walk to Centro Storico. They also had bikes you could rent for a fee that would get you there even quicker. Very happy and will recommend this to family and friends.

We had a lovely 3 night stay here. The breakfast had nice "buffet" options. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved the remote controlled gated parking that allowed us to come and go as we pleased. It also gave us peace of mind that the car was safe since we kept some luggage in the car as we were traveling throughout Italy. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the old city of Lucca as this hotel is sitauted outside the city walls. I also highly recommend renting bikes since there is a bike path infront of the hotel that goes directly into town where you can bike the entire wall of the city. Lucca is a magical and majestic place. Enjoy!

I really could not fault our stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were really amazing and really went the extra mile to make you welcome. Kindly extended the checkin when our train was late. Thank you especially John Lucca who found my lost ring after emptying the vacuum cleaner! Breakfast was great set in a lovely garden room. Bathroom was modern and clean despite the lovely old charm of the hotel. Only 5/10 mins taxi ride from train station. 20 mins walk into the lovely old town. Just one thing is you do have to book the spa ahead if you want it. Hadn’t realised that before booking. Thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful refurbished older mansion turned into a charming B&B. The on site secure parking was a big plus. The entire team attending to guests was extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone always shared a warm smile and sincere greeting. Staff was at the ready with suggestions and helpful advice. Excellent coffee at breakfast. We stayed in the Puccini suite which had a balcony overlooking Viale G. Puccini. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Elevator for those requiring a lift. The location is very near Lucca's walled old town. You could drive (best to avoid that option unless you must), bus, or if you wish to get in a few extra steps, an easy 15 minute walk will get you to the Porta Sant'Ana entrance. There are some dining options in the neighborhood as well. Be aware that on Saturdays there is a mercato that sets up in front of the property and goes all day. You will want to move your vehicle to a side street the night before or risk not being able to drive off property. We were kindly given a heads up. Highly recommended.
